Abstract

Teratomas are neoplasms that arise from the primordial germ cells. They can undergo malignant transformation, with squamous cell carcinoma being the most common type. Other malignancies that can arise in a teratoma include adenocarcinoma, thyroid malignancies, carcinoid tumors and mucinous adenocarcinoma etc.
