Abstract

Background: Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide, requiring a multifaceted approach to management. Objective: This article explores the critical role of nursing care in optimizing outcomes for patients with glaucoma. Methods: The article discusses key nursing interventions, including assessment, medication management, patient education, and psychosocial support. Results: Nursing care can significantly impact disease progression, medication adherence, and overall quality of life for individuals living with glaucoma. Conclusion: A collaborative, patient-centered model of nursing care is essential for effective glaucoma management, enabling nurses to play a vital role in improving patient outcomes.
