Abstract

Dr. Florence Nightingale, often revered as the founder of modern nursing, was a pioneering figure whose impact on healthcare, hygiene, and hospital design remains relevant even today. Though commonly referred to as “The Lady with the Lamp,” her influence goes far beyond her compassionate image. I chose Florence Nightingale not only for her historical legacy but also for her unwavering scientific rigor, statistical innovation, and contributions to public health, especially in an era when women had limited access to education and public roles. Her dedication, intellect, and resilience make her an inspiring figure for all medical professionals, particularly students. Key Messages: Florence Nightingale revolutionized modern nursing through her scientific approach, emphasis on sanitation, and commitment to evidence-based healthcare. Her contributions, resilience against societal limitations, and persistent advocacy for public health reforms continue to guide medical practice, especially in holistic and pediatric care principles
