Abstract

Cataracts, a leading cause of visual impairment globally, necessitate surgical intervention as the primary treatment. A robust and patient-centered nursing care plan is paramount to ensuring optimal outcomes for individuals undergoing cataract surgery. This article outlines a comprehensive nursing care plan, encompassing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, grounded in the nursing process. It highlights key elements such as detailed assessment, appropriate nursing diagnoses, goal-setting, evidence-based interventions, and thorough evaluation. The aim is to enhance patient safety, comfort, education, and ultimately, facilitate a successful recovery and improved quality of life.
