Abstract

 Apache II is a successful scoring system assessing severity of illness and prognosis of ICU patients. The objective of this study was to assess the accuracy of the Apache method for predicting hospital mortality and morbidity among critically ill cases of acute abdomen and to evaluate differences in the accuracy of Apache II and Apache IV models.
