Abstract

 Congenital posterolateral diaphagmatic hernia, where abdominal contents herniate through the poserolateral segments of diaphragm. Most of CDH present with life threatening cardio-respiratory distress in neonatal period . Rarely the hernia remain silent untill late childhood and presented as intestinal obstruction. Here our case presented at age of 12yrs with symptoms of intestinal ostruction and surgically contents were reduced and defect closed primarily.Regardless of technique use to repair the diaphragmatic defect , recurrence rate ranges from3-22%. And very few studies regarding the recurrence and no reports regarding the late recurrence almost 10year after primary repair
