The focus of this study is to compare the accessibility and inclusivity measures of the libraries and institutes at IIIT Bhopal and IIITDM Jabalpur for differently-abled users. The study delves into the facilities, services, policies, and resources that these institutions offer to cater to the needs of such users. The data collection process involves offline questionnaires filled out by library professionals and unstructured interviews with them, as well as assessing the institutional websites for relevant information. The findings of the study highlight both the similarities and differences between the two institutions. While both IIIT Bhopal and IIITDM Jabalpur have policies in line with government directives and provide basic amenities such as computer systems, CCTV surveillance, and scanners, there are differences in the accessibility infrastructure, specialized reading materials provided, and funding allotted for assisting users with disabilities. The study concludes with recommendations for improving inclusivity and accessibility in the library environments of both IIIT Bhopal and IIITDM Jabalpur. These recommendations include investing in accessibility infrastructure, acquiring specialized reading materials, allocating dedicated budgets, implementing special services and support programs, engaging stakeholders, providing training and awareness, and conducting regular evaluations of accessibility initiatives. By implementing these recommendations, both institutions can create more inclusive and accessible library environments that cater to the diverse needs of all users, promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the academic community

Library was able to demonstrate its impact on student learning outcomes. This study investigated the relationship between academic performance and library resources usage among engineering students. The samples consist of 360 engineering students in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu. Library undertook an experimental project, which intended to establish a mathematical correlation of 2020-2024 batches between student library resources usage and their academic performance was university result secured marks.

The concept of ‘Green library’ is of recent origin and is under the process of evolution. The information available on ‘Green Library’ and ‘Sustainability’ is limited but continues to grow. Interconnected topics of green libraries and sustainability have received a great deal of coverage in recent years in various publications targeted toward world librarians. In this study, scientometric study is performed on the green libraries to explore further developments. In this regard, a total of 1644 documents were retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) database using a set of relevant keywords to cover all published documents. The extracted documents were subjected to scientometric study including the contributed authors, publications, citations received, contributing countries and institutions etc,. From the data retrieved, period of 2013 to 2022. A detailed discussion on the science and developments in this field is provided including the potential applications of scientometrics. Being an evolving concept it is gaining popularity among the researchers, academicians, and library professionals all over the world.

In the process of attaining the objective of National Education Policy 2020 Government of India initiated a system where digitally born and digitized resources club together in an accessible form in the public domain. Access to these resources provided for everyone to complete their education, research, and for any other purpose in which users are interested. The availability of digital resources has led to different perspectives on how library collections should be developed, managed, and preserved. Digital technology opens up a new perspective for information society (IFLA). Today, besides preserving and providing access to `born digital material’ several libraries engage in converting non-digital resources to digital with the use of the latest technology. The process of building a digital collection and providing easy and free access to the digital library needs assessment of certain important issues. Along with this preservation policy and methods are also need to be reworked and reframed. The present paper throws light on the issues related to the selection policy, collection development policy, and need of digital library. Also, quality control, library budget, data management techniques, document encoding, copyright, and rights management are covered in the article. This will be a valuable addition to the literature on digital libraries and will also help to plan and strategies digital library services.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world brought many changes in the way libraries provided services to users. Most academic libraries worldwide have placed a strong emphasis on using online services to combat the spread of the pandemic. This study sets out to examine the readiness of academic libraries in Tanzania to provide services to their patrons during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and determine their working practices and strategies applied to overcome the spread of the pandemic. The study used a quantitative and qualitative approach to collecting data through a structured questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with users and librarians in the surveyed academic libraries. The fndings showed that libraries restored their web pages, reassigned resources, and planned robust online services for their users. Library staff worked from home, and there was a sense of overburden because of the lack of connectivity and other formal working policies addressing the new working routines. University librarians believed that the digital divide resulted from a lack of digital literacy skills, and slow internet speed was the most signifcant barrier to their transition from physical to online mode, resulting in less use of the library’s online resources and web portals. Libraries see their individual and collective roles in societal and educational dimensions during these uncertain times. The study recommends that libraries should reassess their facilities, resources, strategies, and services in order to be capable of playing a vital role in supporting their users to access information based on their information needs.

School libraries play a crucial role in the educational ecosystem, offering a variety of resources and services that contribute significantly to students’ academic success, personal development, and lifelong learning. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in school libraries brings about several benefits and opportunities, enhancing the overall learning experience for students and streamlining library operations. Libraries are dynamic institutions, and their tools need to evolve to keep pace with technological advancements and changing user expectations. Regular assessments, feedback from users, and collaboration with the broader library community can help identify areas for improvement and guide the development of more effective library science tools.While libraries can function without incorporating AI, certain challenges and limitations may arise in the absence of AI technologies. In this paper, we focus on AI research in the field of library science is essential for leveraging technology to its fullest potential, improving efficiency, enhancing user experiences, and ensuring that libraries remain dynamic and relevant in the digital age. It allows libraries to adapt to changing user needs and technological advancements, ultimately contributing to the overall effectiveness and impact of library services.

The present study aims to determine the implications and challenges of library automation in the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) at Bengaluru in Karnataka. This study employed a questionnaire-based survey to collect data. The questionnaires were framed and undergone through the pilot test. MS Excel was used for data tabulation, analysis and interpretation. The result reveals that the IWST library had started its automation with Libsys but could not continue due to high AMC. Subsequently, the library migrated to E-granthalaya software. The findings of this study suggest that users are satisfied with the behaviour of library staff. However, a large number of users, particularly students wished to extend library opening hours.
