Abstract

 Among the wide array of human neoplasms, tumor of bone and soft tissue are not very common and account for only less than 1 percent of all neoplasms.Central Institute Of Orthopaedics is a referral centre for musculoskeletal pathology where a large amount of bone and soft tissue tumours are seen.We are presenting eight rare variants of bone & soft tissue sarcomas with their clinico-pathological and radiological features, reported in the department of orthopaedics, VMMC & SJH. The variants to be presented are as follows:

• Bone neoplasms:

1. Malignant fibrous histiocytoma of bone

2. Clear cell chondrosarcoma

3. Clear cell sarcoma of bone

4. Parosteal osteosarcoma

5. Telangiectatic osteosarcoma

6. Chondroblastic osteosarcoma

• Soft tissue neoplasms

1. Low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma

2. Soft tissue sarcoma
