Abstract

In complex pelvic trauma with Acetabular Fractures especially with altered biomechanics, customized total Hip replacement with Acetabular Cage reconstruction provides a reliable solution. Meticulous Pre-operative planning and individualized Surgical strategy are essential for optional outcome. Pelvic fractures are orthopedic emergencies often resulting from high-energy trauma when associated with acetabular fractures and neglected for a prolonged period, they become surgically demanding due to soft tissue contractures, cartilage damage and joint ingruvity. Total Hip Replacement is indicated in chronic acetabular fractures especially when osteonecrosis or secondary osteoarthritis has developed, and when challenge intensifies in patients with prior surgeries of Acetabular Fractures with Infection. In cases with acetabular bone loss, reconstruction with customized cages provides structural support, restoring load bearings capacity and joint congruency, we present a rare case of infected Acetabular fracture, managed with uncemented total Hip replacement and custom 3D printed cetabular Cage.
