Background: Nocturnal enuresis can be frustrating for children and their families as the child ages, if parents have no adequate knowledge about nocturnal enuresis. Nocturnal enuresis is a common disorder among children that seriously affects physical and mental health and has become a social problem. Adequate knowledge about nocturnal enuresis causes complication prevention and management can play a important role on prevent any developmental problem in children. Aim: This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching on Nocturnal enuresis among parents of toddlers in selected rural area. Objectives: • To assess the pre test and post test knowledge score regarding nocturnal enuresis among parents of toddlers in selected rural area. • To assess the effect of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding nocturnal enuresis. • To find out association between pre-test knowledge score with their selected demographic variables. Material: In this study effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge of nocturnal enuresis among parents of toddlers in selected rural area was studied using structured questionnaire on knowledge regarding nocturnal enuresis. The research design used in the study was one group pretest and post test pre experimental design. The knowledge regarding nocturnal enuresis was assessed before and after the structured teaching. The conceptual frame work of the study was based on Landwing Von bertalanffy General System Theory. The study was conducted among 60 parents of toddlers using non probability purposive sampling technique. The data was collected and analysed based on objectives of the study using descriptive and inferential statistics.

The identification and understanding of hypertension risk factors are essential for effective prevention and management. An estimated 1.4 billion adults aged 30–79 years worldwide had hypertension in 2024. On the basis of day to day experience and review of literature researchers realized the need of hour to educate young adults regarding prevention of hypertension risk. Methods: Quantitative research approach with one group pre test post test pre experimental research design was employed to conduct the study. The time period employed in data collection was 4 weeks from 01-7-2025 to 28-7-2025. Data collection was performed by questionnaire method. The data collection tool comprises of two parts. Result: In pre–test 77% participants scored poor knowledge level, 23% scored average knowledge level while in post-test 63% of participants scored average knowledge level, 36% scored good knowledge level and 1% scored poor knowledge level regarding reduction of risk factors of hypertension. Paired ‘t’ test value was 22.61 was greater than table value (2.02 at df 99) at .05 level of significance. No significant affiliation found amid the knowledge scores in pre test with other socio demographic variables except gender

Background: Childhood autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder requiring early recognition and intervention. Nurses, especially those in pediatric units, play a vital role in identifying and managing autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Objective: This study aimed to assess the knowledge and awareness of childhood autism among staff nurses working in pediatric units across three selected hospitals, with implications for practice and education. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design was employed. Sixty staff nurses were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Demographic data and knowledge levels regarding childhood autism were collected and analyzed to explore relationships between nurse characteristics and knowledge scores. Results: The majority of participants were female (70%) and aged between 30-39 years (33.3%). Most held a B.Sc. degree (41.7%). Nurses aged 30-39 years scored the highest mean knowledge score (6.0), though differences by gender and educational level were not statistically significant. Urban nurses had higher mean scores (6.2) compared to rural nurses (4.16), indicating potential disparities in access to training and resources. While overall knowledge was adequate, notable gaps were identified, particularly in communication related to autism care. Conclusion: The findings highlight strengths in nurses’ understanding of childhood autism but reveal critical areas for targeted educational interventions. Enhancing training programs can improve nurses’ competency and positively impact the care of children with autism.

Background and Objectives: Road traffic accidents (RTAs) are a leading cause of global adolescent mortality, with India contributing significantly to these statistics. This study assessed the practices regarding helmet use and road safety measures among adolescents (aged 16–19) in Hassan, Karnataka, to identify gaps for educational intervention. Methods: A descriptive survey was conducted among 100 students at Mangala PU College, Hassan, selected via convenient sampling. Data were collected using a validated structured tool assessing road safety practices. The study underwent pilot testing and received administrative clearance. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Chi-square test). Results: The sample was equally distributed by gender (50% male, 50% female), with 49% of participants aged 19. While 40% received safety information from school, 31% relied on college buses for transport. The highest practice scores were recorded in “knowledge of rules and regulations” (Mean: 13.61; SD: 9.86). Crucially, 49% of respondents demonstrated unfavorable practices regarding helmet use and road safety. Conclusion: A significant portion of adolescents exhibit poor compliance with road safety measures. Statistical analysis revealed that gender was the only sociodemographic variable significantly associated with safety practices (p < 0.05). The findings underscore the urgent need for targeted educational booklets and safety campaigns in pre-university colleges.

The most essential component of child rearing that a mother manages is breastfeeding. Between mothers and their children, it fosters a fantastic attachment. The annual World Breastfeeding Week draws attention to the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for a child’s health (Forste, Weiss & Lippincott 2001:291). Like anywhere else in the nation, breastfeeding promotions at the district women’s hospital seem sufficient to entice women of all social strata to breastfeed. Ironically, many breastfeeding mothers stop when they resume their careers because the idea of expressing their milk at the office and fumbling with pumps and storage at the office seems daunting (McAlpine 1998:80). Four significant groups were found: Lack of support at work, lack of support at home, knowledge and attitudes towards breastfeeding, and a facilities and materials needed to support breastfeeding at work. Women were thought to have little to no time to nurse their children at the end of the day since they are so stressed out. However, they seem to be aware of the advantages, pitfalls, and reward of breastfeeding their infants. It was also brought up as a concern that their bond with their infants may suffer due to the short amount of time they are able to spend with them. Women believed that in order to be able to manage their duties, they needed help from both their employers and coworkers. Problem statement: A study to assess the effectiveness of planned Teaching programme regarding importance of breastfeeding among postnatal mothers in selected hospital at district Ghaziabad. Objective • To assess the demographic variables of postnatal mother. • To assess the knowledge regarding breastfeeding among postnatal mother. • To assess the practice regarding breast feeding among postnatal mothers. • To find out the association between the knowledge regarding Breast feeding among postnatal mothers with their demographic variable.

Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEMs) are a heterogeneous group of rare genetic disorders where deficiencies in enzymes, transporters, or cofactors disrupt metabolic pathways, leading to the toxic accumulation of substrates or vital endproduct deficiencies. Clinical conditions predominantly manifesting in children often masquerading as common neonatal ailments, where they present with extensive systemic manifestations, including acute encephalopathy, hepatomegaly, cardiomyopathy, and dysmorphic skeletal changes. Diagnosis of inborn errors includes basic emergency screening, specialised biochemical screening, advanced refined testing, and definitive genetic or functional confirmation. Management is divided into acute emergency stabilisation, focused on halting catabolism and removing toxins and chronic maintenance strategies, such as dietary substrate restriction, cofactor therapy, and advanced interventions like enzyme replacement therapy or organ transplantation. Optimal outcomes ultimately depend on the seamless collaboration of a multidisciplinary team and the empowerment of families to navigate the lifelong complexities of metabolic care.

Today incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in every field is revolutionizing health care sector and progressively transforming health care delivery, education and research in pediatric nursing. The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in health care is a supportive tool rather than a replacement of human judgment. It has the potential to improve pediatric nursing practice while maintaining compassionate family-centered care. AI offers multiple opportunities to enhance the safety of patients to improve clinical decision-making, reduce workload, and support individualized and developmentally appropriate care to a child. Children differ significantly from adults in their physiological responses, medication requirements, the way they respond to illnesses and also the nursing care differs from adults. This article gives an overview of the use of artificial intelligence and related concepts like machine learning and algorithms and also explores its application in pediatric nursing practice and education and discusses ethical and professional considerations.
