Abstract

The study was experimental in nature with one group pre-test & post-test design. The planned teaching programme on organ donation was developed by reviewing extensive literature on organ donation in terms of knowledge. The sample of 60 people was selected through probability simple random sampling technique. The instrument used for generating necessary data was a structured knowledge questionnaire. The obtained data was analysed by both descriptive and inferential statically in terms of mean, standard deviations,‘t’ value. In the overall content area mean gain score were comparatively higher after exposure to planned teaching programme is a suitable and effective method of instruction. On the basis of findings, the following recommendations were made. The study can be replicated on large sample, there by finding can be generalized for a large population.
