Open access is a publishing model in which readers and readers' institutions are not charged for accessing articles or other resources. The user can freely read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of the papers published under the CC-BY-NC copyright license and use these articles for non-commercial purposes.

Unless the prior written consent of the RFP is provided, articles published under a CC-BY license may be distributed, reproduced, or modified for commercial purposes.

Published research is the foundation of progress in medicine and science. The publication of open access therefore leads to a wider dissemination of information and an increase in scientific efficiency by providing:

  • As a researcher, publishing in an open-access journal allows anyone interested in your work to read it, and that translate into increased usage and impact.
  • Whether you are a patient looking for health information, a teacher wishing to revive a lesson plan, or a researcher who wants to formulate a hypothesis, free online papers provide you with the latest scientific information and discoveries from peer-reviewed journals.

Red Flower Publications (RFP) publishes many of its articles under the non-commercial Creative Commons License (CC-BY-NC). This allows non-commercial reuse of published papers as long as they are fully attributed. Commercial reuse (see Sections 4 and 5 here) can only be carried out with the publisher's permission.

RFP offers Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) to authors whose articles are funded by the organizations listed here (under the CC-BY heading). The license allows commercial reuse (see sections 4 and 5 here), but still requires the full authorization of the article.

Authors publishing with RFP retain their copyright and moral rights. The RFP has the right to manage the permissions for commercial use of the published paper of the author.
