IntroductionDr. Anju Chanu is a distinguished nursing academician, researcher,
and author with more than eight years of teaching experience, widely recognized
for her outstanding contributions to education and society. She is currently
serving as Assistant Professsor
at Shri Venkateshwara University and has previously worked as Assistant
Professor at Mata Gujri College of Nursing (a constituent unit of Mata Gujri
University, Kishanganj). She
holds an M.Sc. Nursing (Neuroscience) and a Ph.D. in Nursing, and notably
graduated 1st position holder in her postgraduate program from
Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Guwahati, Assam. Her
academic excellence is further strengthened by specialized certifications,
including the NAAC Foundation Training Course (2025) and BLS/ACLS training
conducted by the American Heart Association.
She has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Indian
Education Icon Award (UIJIR Academic Research Foundation, 2024),
the Best Academician Award (Eduved Foundation, 2025), and
the Swami Vivekananda Professional Excellence Award (Indian
Forum under NITI Aayog, 2026). In addition, she served as a jury member at the
National Conference organized by C.M. Patel College of Nursing, Gujarat (2026).
A prolific scholar, Dr. Chanu has published more than six
books and numerous research papers in international journals,
establishing herself as a leading voice in nursing education and research. Her
authored works include Fundamentals of Nursing and First Aid
(Bilingual – English & Hindi, YKR, 2025). She has contributed chapters to
several authoritative textbooks, including Applied Sociology and Psychology
(2023), Nursing Foundation I & II (2023), Nursing Management
(2024), and Nursing Research (2024).
Dr. Chanu is also a President Circle Member of the Nursing
Scholar Society –Bihar circle & Northeast (Manipur) and serves on the Review
Board of the Indian Journal of Health and Allied Sciences. Her
work reflects a deep commitment to advancing nursing scholarship, integrating
bilingual resources, international research standards, and professional
excellence to inspire future generations of nurses.
