Purpose: The main objective of the present research investigation is to formulate transdermal patches of famotidine using different polymers. Famotidineis a H2 blockers. Methods: The transdermal patches of famotidine were prepared employing different concentrations of HPMC, and Ethyl cellulose. Results and Discussion: All patches exhibited satisfactory characteristics regarding integrity, flexibility, dispersion of drug, and other quality control parameters. In the invitro release studies of transdermal patches, formulation F10 showed the prolonged release of drug (88%) for 12 h, which indicates the maximum availability of the drug. The kinetic studies were carried out and it was found that all the formulations follow zero order and the release mechanism of drugs was found to be diffusion rate limited, Non-Fickian mechanism which was confirmed by Korsmeyer–Peppas model. Conclusion: This suggests the transdermal application of Famotidine holds the promised controlled release of the drug for an extended period of time.

Medicated herbal jellies are more suitable for child & old age patients, which is going to be easy administration & high absorption of drugs. This study aims to prepare such a jelly preparation that effects the LDL level in Obese patients. Due to resistance & side effects of conventional synthetic medication, herbal drug preparations are well-accepted. The Jellies are alternatives for traditional methods like ‘Churna’ and ‘Tablets’. This research is to develop a new dosage form of embelin into jellies and their pharmaceutical standardization. During the study extraction of embelin from Embeliaribes, formulation of jellies, processing procedure with extract based herbal formulation, and expansion for analytical standardization including qualitative and quantitative determinations were carried out. The formulation was subjected to physico-chemical as well as in-vitro drug release.

Common dietary supplements known as Nutraceuticals have been proven to be successful in the treatment or prevention of disease. There is evidence that certain food groups and dietary supplements can slow the progression of CVD. This audit's goal is to report on the most recent research on the use of Nutraceuticals in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Scars are a displeasing side effects of any type of wound. It can vary from a atrophic hypo pigmented linear scar to a hypertrophic scar or a keloid, which can cause trouble to the patient, both symptomatically and aesthetically. There are various modalities present in the arm amentarium of managing scars. All of them modulate the biology of scar in a such a way to make it aesthetically pleasing. One such technique is a silicone gel sheet, which has been widely used in scar management. In this article, we report our unique experience with the use of silicone sheet.
