Ensuring patient safety is a significant priority in healthcare settings. The International Patient Safety Goals provides as a globally recognized outline for civilizing healthcare quality and minimizing risks. This study measures the assessment of patient safety with the implementation of IPSG at a tertiary care Hospital in Delhi. To continue this study a mixed-method was used with the observational assessment of staff interviews and patient safety incident reports. Further this study examines the key aspects such as patient identification accuracy, effective communication, medication safety, infection prevention, surgical safety, and fall prevention strategies. The findings and results indicate that while IPSG implementation has significantly improved patient safety outcomes, challenges such as staff adherence, resource constraints, and training gaps remain. Finally the study highlights best practices and areas that require improvement, offering insights for strengthening patient safety measures. These findings contribute to on-going efforts in IPSG adherence and enhancing overall healthcare quality.

Introduction: The digital age has revolutionized healthcare delivery, with telemedicine emerging as a crucial component. The integration of telemedicine represents a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery, with young adults playing a pivotal role in shaping its adoption. Methodology: The study was conducted on 246 participants between the age range of 18 and 35 years. Data was collected using the Telemedicine Perception Questionnaire among the participants. Findings: A significant majority (63.8%) deemed telemedicine a valuable resource in healthcare. Telemedicine interaction is positively perceived, with 45.5% feeling they receive more attention, 36.6% finding communication comparable to face to-face interactions, and 56.9% expressing confidence in accessing telemedicine services when needed. Conclusion: Telemedicine offers a plethora of benefits for patients. As we continue to navigate the digital age, understanding and embracing telemedicine’s potential will be crucial in shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

The rapid digitization of India’s healthcare sector has amplified the need to protect sensitive patient data and ensure accountability in hospital administration. Earlier frameworks such as the Information Technology Act, 2000 offered only limited safeguards and proved inadequate against evolving cybersecurity threats. The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 introduces a consent-driven framework that strengthens patient rights, enforces fiduciary obligations on hospitals, and aligns India with global data protection practices. This paper explores its implications for healthcare institutions, particularly in the management of electronic health records, digital consent, and hospital information systems. It also examines national initiatives like the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and platforms such as MEDLEAPR, which enhance secure record-keeping and data transfer. By addressing gaps and recommending measures such as encryption, role-based access, and trained Data Protection Officers, the Act aims to build trust, strengthen governance, and ensure resilience in healthcare data management.

Optimal determination of the postmortem interval (PMI) is one of the cornerstones of forensic analysis but oftentimes the dependence and variability of the conventional methods like entomology, histology and biochemical techniques most commonly experience sudden limitations since they are sensitive to the environment. New also cites the human microbiome as an active and quantifiable state of an after death postmortem clock, and post mortal microbial succession is an excellent clock. The integration of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, though, is revolutionizing the field and is now able to profile microorganisms at high resolution and model and predict PMI with high accuracy. NGS technologies such as 16S rRNA sequencing, shotgun metagenomics and whole-genome sequencing can potentially lead organizations to find various types of microbial communities which were not used before with higher accuracy. None of them are capable, however, of bulking up these enormous data sets with superior computing methods. Machine learning algorithms like rule-based systems Rain Forest, the Support Vector Machines and deep learning systems have show the potential to recognize patterns of microbial succession regimes and translate them into useful prediction of PMI. The answer to this challenge lies in switched NGS and ML: with sequencing, the biological signal is provided, and predictive models are utilized in order to refine the temporal resolution and minimize the margin of error. Even with such progress, there are more challenging problems. In this instance variability between settings, the absence of standard procedures, small databases of forensic microbiomes, and its potential legal inadmissibility all pose hurdles to its application on a large scale. The development of portable sequencing machines, global forensic databases on microbes, and the explicable AI to suit the needs of the judiciary are the way forward. The article is a review of the current conditions of microbiome-based PMI estimation with a focus on highlighting how both NGS and ML can be valuable in developing an effective and standardized postmortem clock in forensic scientists.

Background: Excessive bleeding is a common complication of cardiac surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), often leading to increased transfusion requirements and postoperative morbidity. Fibrinogen plays a central role in coagulation, and Human Fibrinogen Concentrate (HFC) offers a targeted method to restore clot firmness Objective: To evaluate the effect of HFC administration on perioperative blood loss in patients undergoing cardiac surgery with CPB Methods: A case series of 12 patients undergoing cardiac surgery was analyzed. Patients were divided into two groups: Group A (n=6) received fibrinogen concentrate (40 mg/ kg) after CPB and before protamine administration, while Group B (n=6) did not. Blood loss and transfusion requirements were compared Results: Mean blood loss in patients receiving fibrinogen concentrate (Group A) was significantly reduced compared to controls (Group B). Statistical analysis demonstrated a highly significant difference (p < 0.001). Patients in Group A also required fewer transfusions of blood and blood products Conclusion: Administration of fibrinogen concentrate in cardiac surgery patients on CPB effectively reduced perioperative bleeding and the need for transfusion. This supports its use as a safe and effective adjunct in perioperative hemostatic management.
