The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed library reference services, particularly through the introduction of conversational agents such as ChatGPT. This study explores user perceptions of ChatGPT in comparison to traditional reference services provided by human librarians. Employing a surveybased methodology, data were collected from academic library users to assess key factors including accuracy, trustworthiness, user satisfaction, response time, and ease of use. The findings indicate that although ChatGPT delivers rapid and easily accessible support, users generally prefer traditional reference services for complex or specialized queries, attributing this preference to the human capacity for contextual understanding and critical thinking. The study underscores the complementary roles of AI and human librarians, proposing that the integration of ChatGPT as a supportive tool can enhance the overall effectiveness of reference service delivery. These insights offer valuable guidance for libraries aiming to innovate while aligning with user expectations in a rapidly evolving information environment.

A library catalogue is accessible through an electronic device for the convenience of library patrons is known as an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). It provides a number of access points to get a desired document. ICT revolutionizes daily life by improving connectivity, knowledge sharing, and digital access. It drives innovation, streamlines services, and empowers communities through enhanced information flow. The aim of this study was to know awareness, usage, purposes, frequency of OPAC usage, problems encountered during its use, level of satisfaction and different approach applied in accessing required documents by research scholars in Ranganathan Library at Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. Descriptive survey technique and simple random sampling method was adopted in the study. A well structured questionnaire was prepared and distributed online among 200 research scholars out of total, 182 completed questionnaires were received with 91% response rate. Collected data were analysed using percentage and frequency counts. Finding shows that 82.4% of the respondents are aware about OPAC and more than half number of research scholars uses it occasionally. Checking the availability of the required documents (70.3%) in the library was found as the main purpose of using OPAC. The study observed the slow speed of searching was one of the major problems. Keywords (70.9%) and title (67.6%) were most frequent access points used in searching documents. The result of the study pointed that majority of the respondents were satisfied with OPAC service being offered by the library. The study suggests increasing the numbers of computer in library so that maximum users can use the system at the same time.

This article explores the integration of AI techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), semantic search, and recommendation algorithms in modern search systems. It examines how AIdriven tools understand user intent, personalize search experiences, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data. The study also discusses emerging trends like conversational AI, visual search, and AI-based academic search engines. Challenges related to algorithmic bias, transparency, and ethical concerns are considered, alongside future directions for AI-enhanced information retrieval. By highlighting practical applications and critical issues, this article provides valuable insights into how AI is reshaping the search and discovery process in today’s digital era.

The best practice is one of the essential characteristics in the academic and higher education environment in the present scenario. All we know is that we are in the digital and information age, we can say the information rule in all walks of our lives, and libraries and information systems are not an exemption. Best practices serve as benchmarks or standards for guiding decision-making, problem-solving, and performance improvement. They help organizations to provide a framework for standardizing processes and procedures, ensuring consistency in operations and outcomes. This paper has focussed on the adoption of best practices in Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) Central Library located at Kanchipuram run by Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) deemed to be a University in Chennai.

The present study of Corporate Communication publications is extremely high in the present era compared to initial years of the study. Corporate Communication research papers exhibit a discernible an increasing trend, The maximum number of research papers, 177(13.18%), was published in the year 2023, followed by 157(1169%) in 2022, and the third-highest year for publications was 2019 with a total of 138(10.28%) research papers in Corporate Communication during the study period. The study, author Zerfass, A. from the United States holds the highest number of the publications, contribute 16(15.53%) research publications., a maximum of 888(66.12%) research publications are contributed the Article distribution of document type in Corporate Communication research publications. The time series analysis application is anticipated in Corporate Communication research papers to be about equal to 184 in 2025 and approximately equal to 209 in 2030. At that point, a thorough investigation proved that there is a growing tendency in the papers on Corporate Communication research. The institutions during the study period according to the analysis, the Aarhus University published the most articles on Corporate Communication research, with 23(11.98. The majority of the articles on Corporate Communication research for the study period were published in the Corporate Communication with 115(35.17%), 1789(38.80%) research publications. The United States contributed the most articles, amounting to more than 5671(38.88%) research publications.

Indigenous term is prevailed as a generic term for many years. It refers to people who lived there before colonists or settlers arrived. Occupational and geographical terms such as hunter-gatherers, nomads, peasants, and hill people are often used in a similar context to “indigenous peoples” and can, in many cases, serve as interchangeable descriptors. Indigenous describes any group of people native to a specific region. Preserving tribal identity is a major challenge for indigenous tribes around the world. Literature plays a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the cultural identity of these communities. Indigenous Literature and Digital Learning Platform in preservation of tribal identity is the main focus of this paper. Collaborative endeavors should be done by involving scholars, writers, and artists from both tribal and non-tribal backgrounds as these have the potential to transcend cultural divides and cultivate a deep understanding of tribal literature. Funding and support for tribal authors, scholars, and cultural initiatives is essential. As readers, writers, and scholars, all are responsible to make sure that these voices, which contain the profound knowledge accumulated over centuries, are acknowledged and valued.

The Open Access (OA) movement has revolutionized the dissemination of scientific knowledge by making research literature freely available to all. This study examined how OA affects science and communication researchers in India. This is based on a survey conducted between June and December 2023. The survey included scholars from CSIR laboratories (NPL, NIScPR, IGIB), communication schools [(IIMC), Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre (AJK MCRC) Jamia Milia Islamia, Amity University), and technical universities (IIT Delhi, NIT Delhi, Dronacharya College of Engineering, JNU). The survey assessed researchers' perspectives of the accessibility, utility, challenges, and policy efficacy of OA. The results indicate that OA has significantly enhanced access to literature, although concerns about Article Processing Charges (APCs) and India’s OA policy persist. These findings highlight the need for stronger institutional support and policy reforms to maximize the benefits of OA for the research community.

The academic and research writings need correct referencing while citing other works. Reference accuracy is crucial in several ways in scholarly communication. This article investigates the referencing accuracy in management journals published by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked (2024) top five Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). A total of 250 randomly selected journal references were checked taking 50 references from each IIM’s journal. The last issue of 2024 of each journal was selected. These five issues contained 36 articles and total number of references were 2390 appended in these 36 articles. Among 2390 references, 1748 were journal references and 642 were non-journal. The sample of 250 journal references was selected from 1748 journal references taking 50 references from each issue. Out of 250 references, 154 were found correct while 96 were incorrect. A total 132 errors were observed in 96 incorrect references. Sixty major errors and 72 minor errors were observed. In this study, the reference accuracy rate for management journals is 61.6%. In order to decrease the reference errors many suggestions are offered. Researchers and scholars need to be more attentive while compiling the reference list. Editors and reviewers need to be more careful about reference accuracy. Librarians should conduct referencing behaviour programs along with library orientation programs for users and scholars. Training of skill development in reference management tools and software can be conducted in libraries

It examines the key drivers behind the movement, including the subscription crisis, the enabling role of the internet, and seminal advocacy initiatives such as the Budapest Open Access Initiative. The review charts the development of critical OA infrastructure, including institutional repositories and OA journals, and analyzes the growing influence of policy mandates from funders and governments. It also addresses the challenges and critiques that have emerged, such as Article Processing Charges (APCs) and predatory publishing. The conclusion synthesizes the journey of OA and presents a structured overview of its past, present, and potential future trajectories, highlighting both its achievements and the unresolved issues that will shape its continued expansion.
