Background: Oral health is an important predictor of general health, happiness, and quality of life. According to reports, one of the most common unmet demands of the population with special health care needs is dental care. In many cases, another individual will be in charge of these children's dental hygiene, such as a parent, guardian, or caretaker. Aim and Objectives: Was to assess the oral health status of differently abled children attending various special schools in Vishakhapatnam city, Andhra Pradesh. Material and Methods: Data was collected using face to face interview and WHO oral health assessment form and a total of 20 schools were selected based on multistage random sampling technique and the sample obtained was 400 comprising of b Government, primary and NGO running schools. The data collected was entered in Microsoft Excel Sheet by the examiner. The entered data were exported to SPSS (Statistical package for social science) for statistical analysis. Statistical tests were done using SPSS 22.0. The level of significance was set at p< 0.05. Results: Oral health conditions like dental caries (82%), bleeding (28.2%), dental trauma (14.5%) and dental fluorosis (12.2%) was observed in all regardless of the disability. This could be due to lack of proper caring of the oral health and most of the schools were institutionalized leading to low utilization of dental services. Conclusion: The overall prevalence of oral diseases is more in these children and steps are to be taken to address the disparities in oral health and hygiene among disabled children, as well as the barriers to oral care, which include cost, fear, and social attitudes. It is utmost necessary to educate parents, caregivers about the importance of diet and oral care.

Even though the GIC has undergone many advances, its chemistry is fundamentally different from that of modern resin based composite direct filling products, which feature a silica or glass particle filled polymer matrix that enhances repair retention. When the restoration is etched or air abraded after the tooth has been conditioned with an adhesive resin and etched, retention becomes "micromechanical," ensuring the resin cement's high tensile strength. Cementation of the extraoral fabricated restoration is very important for the longevity of the restoration. The bond strength of resin cement to ceramic and fibre post is better than conventional cements. This article discusses about the various types of resin cements and there uses for luting indirect restorations such crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays, etc.

Introduction: Salivary gland tumors are complex to diagnose both on histopathology and cytology. Majority of these tumours arise in the parotid glands, followed by submandibular glands, and rarely in minor salivary glands. Warthin’s tumor (WT), also known as papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum, is characterized by a dense lymphoid stroma and a double layer of oncocytic epithelium with papillary and cystic architecture. Only 6-10% cases have been reported in the extra-parotid locations i.e. cervical lymph nodes, submandibular gland and larynx. Case Report: Our patient presented with painless bilateral submandibular swellings for 1.5 months with history of chronic smoking of two bundles of biddis per day for 32 years. Conclusion: Hereby, this case was unique in its presentation as it was located in an extra parotid region with bilateral origin, as these locations carry clinical significance in diagnosing and ruling out conditions like lymphoma.

Angiofibromas, accounting for a mere 0.05-0.5% of all head and neck neoplasms, are uncommon benign tumors originating from connective tissue and characterized by a high vascularity and local aggressiveness. Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma, extensively discussed in medical literature, represents the most common subtype and is typically found in the nasopharynx. Extra-nasopharyngeal angiofibromas, which occur in locations outside the nasopharynx, are quite rare, with the maxillary sinus being the most typical site according to existing research. This paper presents a unique case of Extra-nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma affecting the hard palate in an adult female. This case is noteworthy due to the tumor's anterior hard palate location, its occurrence in a female patient, and its clinical resemblance to a fibroma, making it the first reported case of its kind.

Background: Early childhood caries is a virulent form of dental caries that can destroy the primary dentition of infants and preschool children. ECC is a preventable disease and prevention should begin in pre and perinatal. Mothers with poor oral health may be at greater risk of infecting their children. Biologically, the mother is the primary source of Streptococci and young children are dependent on their mother for oral hygiene. Aim: So, it’s essential to explore pregnant women and nursing mothers' knowledge, attitude, and practices as they affect the dental care children receive. Methodology: A survey was presented which was designed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practices of pregnant women regarding infant’s oral health. A survey was conducted in and around Vellore at a government and private maternity hospital among pregnant women and new mothers. A self-administered questionnaire consisting of a total of 41 questions concerning basic information on proper infant oral hygiene procedures was given. A statistical analysis was performed. Results: A greater percentage of women were unaware of the importance of their oral hygiene, infant feeding practices and oral hygiene procedures. Conclusion: Based on these results there is a need for education for mothers and would-be mothers.
