Aloe-vera is well known for the cost effect positive actions it has on the skin, with a very minimal risk profile. The anti-inflammatory, wound healing & anti-ageing effects of aloe-vera on the skin have been extensively studied & discussed. Similar effects may be demonstrated & observed on burn wounds. We tested the aloe-vera gel on a patient with scald burns & observed the progression of the wound. Unsurprisingly, we observed that wound healing was considerably enhanced, along with prevention of abnormal scarring by aloe-vera gel application

This article is aimed at the educating the patients, relatives and alternative therapist on the scope of management of Bronchial Asthma through Nature Cure and Yoga Therapy. Bronchial Asthma here means intrinsic (infective or degenerative) asthma, not the allergic and cardiac asthma. The physician diagnoses bronchial asthma on the basis symptoms (gasping of breath, coughing, wheezing, etc.) and signs (temperature, heart rate, breathing rate, etc.) and tests like x-ray: PA view. Causative factors of bronchial asthmas include poor immune system, history of tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. Along with life style factors like poor and unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, inadequate ventilation, poor posture, etc.). Mild to moderate degree of asthma can be managed and prevented through Naturopathy and Yoga techniques along with healthy life style changes.

Urology has seen significant advances in instrumentation, such as cystoscopes, ureteroscopes, dilators, and catheters now a days. These innovations have contributed to the shift towards minimally invasive procedures, resulting in reduced patient discomfort, faster recovery times, and improved outcomes. It has been found in Ayurveda texts that there are some basic design models and ideas which can be modify and can be used for new innovations. So, it should beaccepted as a fact that all the instruments were originally rooted in ancient Ayurveda texts and were used for innovation in specification i.e. ‘Uttar Basti Nadi Yantra’ and ‘Uttar Basti Netra’ which were used to make passage to the urogenital tract from outside. Here, Ayurveda gave concepts to make a hollow passage to lumen of inner urogenital organs. By the development of new era, this design got modification, and used for minimal invasive techniques. Final judgement can be made by observation of fundaments used for instrument development. Endoscopic urinary instruments have the same design module with modification of attached light source andcatheters are modified ‘Uttar Basti Netra’ having hollow lumen which is used for drainage of urine or application of antibacterial solutions in the bladder. So, these instruments have basic fundaments of hollow pathway to inner urogenital organs which is said in Ayurveda classical texts. So, this paper gives a highlight of original concepts of urology instrument and how its modification took place by the ages. So, Ayurveda does lay a foundation of principles and knowledge that has influenced the development of medical instruments over time.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in worldwide and chemotherapy is the commonly used treatment method. The dose limiting toxicity and development of drug resistance hamper the treatment with chemotherapeutics in hospitals. Failure rates of modern therapy for cancer is too high ranging from 85% and 95%, but still the patients are inclined to modern treatment only. Ayurved treatment option is never believed and never introduced to the cancer patients. Patients, crippled with this disease and suffering from harmful side effects from chemotherapeutic drugs are turning back to natural remedies hoping for a better cure. It is the responsibility of Ayurved stake holders to take proper measures and encourage research to develop evidence based medicine and make it popular among Indian population. Traditional systems of medicines always played vital role in meeting the global health care needs in past, continuing at present and shall also play key role in future. Ayurved supplements protect healthy cells, regulate body metabolism and treats the disease. Care should be provided by a team of experts in cancer care. This article discuss about the understanding of cancer in terms of Ayurved and principles of Ayurved which can be applied to manage cancer patients.

Obesity becomes a universal health issue and due to lifestyle changes, it is regularly increasing day-by-day. Childhood/pediatric obesity become recent pandemic with high magnitude. Familiar mutation and lifestyle factors like intake of excessive high energy food, physical inactivity are most common causes of overweight and obesity. Wide ranged review was conducted from databases including PubMed and Google Scholar. The study assesses changes in the anthropometric index and quality of life in obese children following yoga. Yoga plays a significant role in reducing anthropometric index in obese and over weight children and improves psychological and emotional functioning including quality of life.

Modern life patterns affect our health in different aspects physically, psychologically, and socially. There is a need for increasing people awareness about the effect of modern life to control the effects of the patterns of life. Promoting healthy lifestyle includes proper eating, physical activity, and better way of communicating and socializing in the community. All these have positive impacts which we can easily get in practising yoga. Thousands of years ago yoga originated in India, Yoga will reduce the risk of getting so many diseases which resulted from our day-to-day lifestyles. Yoga is reported to reduce stress and anxiety, improves autonomic functions by triggering neurohormonal mechanisms by the suppression of sympathetic activity, it involves eight limbsof yoga (Asthanyoga), which include yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. Health is a primary goal of any individual and hence without spending lots of money by practicing Yoga one can achieve proper health. This article therefore, deals with significance of Yoga in modern life to encourage the reader to practice Yoga to sustain physical, social, and spiritual health

Introduction: Ahara is considered as one among trayopastambha.1 For the nourishment and protection of the body ahara is needed. It is considered as mahabhaisajya by kashyapa samhita.2Thus ahara is most important and building block for a living being. In the present era, arshas is an emerging health issue. In our classics Arshas is considered under Asta mahagada.3 The one which causes pain like the act of an enemy is called as arshas.4 It is progressively increasing in the society due to sedentary lifestyle, irregular and inappropriate diet, chronic constipation, psychological disturbances etc.

Methodology: When we look over to nidana for arshas first thing mentioned is adhyasana that is having meals before the digestion of previous food which is not recommendable. Adyasana there fore is described as one of the health destroying factor.

Conclusion: Prevention is better than cure. So cultivating and providing knowledge regarding healthy food habits especially in youngsters plays an important role in preventing arshas.

Nighantus are important texts of Ayurveda that classifies and arranges various medicinal1 plants based on their morphology, usage, properties, effect etc. along with classification in various ganas/groups. These nighantus are of two types. One type of nighantu mentions the synonyms only for e.g. Saushruta nighantu, Astanganighantu and Paryayaratnamala whereas other type mentions synonyms as well as gunas, karmas as well that includes Dhanvantarinighantu, Bhavaprakash Nighantu, Raja Nighantu etc. Both of these type of Nighantus have included various plants among which jivaka is one of them. Its description can be found from Astanga nighantu (6th century) to Shaligram nighantu (20th century). This shows that Jivaka had been very important medicinal plant back then which has been extensively described in most of the nighantus. A total of 25 important nighantus were taken into consideration from 6th to 20th century for the current research.

Brahmi is known to be for its Medhya Rasayana properties. One may also note various other properties than Medhya Rasayana while referring Brahmi in the classical Ayurvedic texts ranging from Samhitas to Nighantus. Surprisingly, when we refer modern pharmacological & Phytochemical studies of Brahmi (Bacopamonnieri), one may co-relate these activities. This paper is taking account of the various paryaya (synonyms), etymological derivations of some of them, regarding its Rasapanchaka (Ayurvedic Pharmacological aspects), its Dhoshaghnatva & Rogaghnatva. Paper will briefly discuss about its chemical constituents & pharmacological studies undertaken on plant.

Background: Ayurveda differs from other medical sciences by virtue of its unique concepts, independent ways of diagnosis and treatment. The prime aim of Ayurveda is two fold, i.e., maintaining health of the healthy individual and curing the diseases of diseased person. Determination of Prakruthi in newborn stage helps to differentiate the baby from other children by knowing peculiar characters. It also helps to maintain the health through out the life span, by proper measures. Hence, Charaka considered Prakruthi examination, as the first points of investigations regarding the patients.

Aims and objective: To evaluate the relation between Prakruthi and Dactylography.

Materials and Methods: 150 subjects within age group of 18-30 years were selected and given with questionnaires for Shareerika Prakruthi assessment and their 10 fingerprints were obtained through rolled method.

Discussion & Conclusion: A healthy individual is born out of normal Sukra, Artava, Atma, Prakruthi and various Vikaras and the predominance of Dosha at the time of conception determines the Prakruthi of the individual. No individual is alike another; all are different with respect to their own characteristic features. A fingerprint is the pattern on the inside of the finger in the area between the tip and the first joint and stays the same from the day of a person's birth to the day they die. On the basis of observation it is found that Kapha Dosha shows less variation were loop being the most repeated fingerprint pattern, whereas Vata Dosha shows maximum variation and Pitta Doshain between the two.
