Introduction: Children and their families may be adversely affected by vision impairment, which is a major global public health issue.

Aim of the study: A study to assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching program regarding detection of visual impairment in children’s among teachers. Research design: Quasi experimental-non equivalent control group pretest and posttest design was adopted.

Methodology: Non probability Purposive sampling technique was used to select 40 samples.The teachers knowledge were assessed by structured questionnaire regarding detection of visual impairment in children’s. Pretest was followed by administration of Video assisted teaching Program (VATP) regarding detection of visual impairment in children’s. The post-test was conducted by using same questionnaire. The data was analyzed and interpreted using descriptive and inferential statistics.

Results: In experimental group the pre-test mean score was 17.9 ± 3.9. After the intervention of video assisted teaching program the mean post test knowledge score was 31.7± 1.9 The mean difference was 13.8. The obtained ‘t’ value 15.9 which was highly significant at p < 0.0001 level. There was statistically significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test knowledge score among teachers. Also there is a significant association was found between pre test level of knowledge scores among teachers with demographic variables like gender and number of students using spectacles.

Conclusion: The study concluded that VATP was effective in improving the knowledge regarding detection of visual impairment in children’s among teachers.

Objectives:

1. To assess the pretest and post-test knowledge regarding promotion of mental health and early identification of mental illness among Anganwadi workers.

2. To evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme regarding mental health promotion and early identification of mental illness in toddler and preschooler children’s among Anganwadi workers.

Methodology: Methodology or research indicates the general pattern for organizing the procedure for empirical together with the method of obtunding valid and reliable data for problem under investigation. It also refers to the techniques used to structure a study and together and analysis information in a systemic manner. This chapter described the methodology used in this study to access the knowledge regarding the mental health promotion and early identification of mental illness in toddler, preschooler among Anganwadi workers at selected area of Olpad Taluka, Surat Gujarat.

Analysis and Interpretation: This deal with the research design variables setting of the study population sample criteria of sample selection, sample size sample technique, procedure for data collection a plan for data analysis. Result: The mean difference in Experimental group of pre-test mean score was 8.74 and post-test mean score was 17.7. It reveals that mean difference in experimental group of post-test is significantly higher than pre-test. The calculated paired “t” value was 11.19 and the tabulated “t” value was 2 at 0.05 level of significance. In experimental group the calculated paired “t” value was greater than tabulated value at 0.05 level of significance. The standard deviation of pre-test was 2.42 and post-test was 5.21.

Conclusion: effectiveness of structured teaching programme on mental health promotion and early identification of mental illness in toddler and preschooler among Anganwadi workers. The findings of the study enlighten the fact that structured teaching programme on mental health promotion and early identification of mental illness in toddler and preschooler among Anganwadi workers preparation can also be used to improve the knowledge of Anganwadi health workers

Background: Eye donation is a vital public health intervention for addressing corneal blindness, yet donation rates remain suboptimal, particularly in rural communities. Understanding the knowledge, willingness, and barriers among adults is essential for designing effective awareness strategies.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in a selected rural community of Coimbatore to assess knowledge, willingness, and barriers related to eye donation among adults. A total of 150 participants aged 18–60 years were recruited using a non-probability convenient sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics

Results: Among the respondents, 89% demonstrated average knowledge, 9% had good knowledge, and 2% had poor knowledge regarding eye donation. Approximately 64% expressed willingness to donate their eyes, while 36% were unwilling. The most commonly reported barrier was family opposition (34%), followed by religious beliefs (12%). No statistically significant association was found between knowledge levels and selected demographic variables.

Conclusion: The study reveals moderate levels of knowledge and willingness toward eye donation among rural adults, with family-related concerns and religious beliefs acting as key barriers. These findings underscore the need for targeted educational interventions and community engagement to enhance awareness and promote eye donation in rural settings.

Background: Healthy life can be considered as a by-product of practicing yogic techniques since it has been observed that yoga practitioners are physically and mentally healthier and have better coping skills to stressors than the normal population. Yoga views health and wellbeing as a dynamic aspect of human nature rather than just “state” that must be attained and preserved. Yoga is an ancient mind-body practice that is increasingly recognized to have health benefits in a variety of clinical and non-clinical conditions.

Background: Cervical cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women worldwide, particularly in developing countries. It is a preventable and curable disease when detected early through effective screening and timely management

Aim and objectives: To assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding cervical cancer among reproductive age group of women 2. To find out the association between post-tests level of knowledge regarding cervical cancer among reproductive age group of women with their selected demographic variables

Results: The study findings revealed that in the pre-test, 76.66% of participants had inadequate knowledge regarding cervical cancer. Following the implementation of the planned teaching programme, the post-test results showed a significant improvement, with 73.33% of women had adequate knowledge. The calculated paired t-test value (t = 8.76) was found to be highly significant (p < 0.001).

Conclusion: The planned teaching programme was effective in enhancing knowledge of cervical cancer among reproductive-age women.

The study was intended to assess the knowledge regarding CPR among the college students of selected college, Malampuzha. The objectives of the study were to assess the level of knowledge regarding CPR among the students of selected college and to find out the association between the level of knowledge regarding CPR and selected sociodemographic variables. The study design used in this study is a non-experimental descriptive survey design. The study was conducted among 200 students of ITI Malampuzha, selected by convenience sampling. The tool used for the data collection includes section A with sociodemographic variables and section B with a structured questionnaire regarding the CPR. In the study, most of the students were in the age group of 18-19 years; 74% were males and 26% were females. 23% of the students have relatives working in the health department and 12% of the male parents were working in government and private sectors. The knowledge level of CPR is poor for 27.5%, average for 63.5%, and good for 9%. There is an association between the level of knowledge and selected demographic variables such as age and occupational status of the father.

Background: The urgency of ensuring a stable blood supply cannot be overstated. With the healthcare sector increasingly reliant on transfusions for emergency and elective procedures, the role of informed and motivated donors becomes critical. Nursing students represent a vital demographic not only as potential donors but also as educators and influencers within the healthcare system.

Aim and objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of structure teaching programme on knowledge and attitude regarding blood donation among the B.Sc (N) I & II year students in a selected nursing college

Methodology: Quantitative research approach, pre-experimental research design, one group pre-test-post- test was used. Students were selected using convenient sampling technique. The study was conducted at Venkateswara Nursing College, Chennai.

Results: Significant improvement was observed in the post-test scores (p < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the teaching programme. Post-test knowledge and attitude levels showed no significant association with the selected demographic variables.

Conclusion: This clearly infers that structure teaching programme administered to the students was found to be effective in improving the knowledge and attitude on blood donation

Objective: The study employs a theoretical model based on principal-agent theory and the information asymmetry perspective to investigate how patients’ use of Internet health information influences many facets of their relationships with their physicians.
