Abstract

Refractive surgery has emerged as a significant area of ophthalmology, providing patients with alternatives to glasses and contact lenses. As the role of nursing in surgical settings continues to evolve, it becomes imperative to understand the multifaceted responsibilities that nurses hold in refractive surgery. This paper analyzes the nursing care provided to patients undergoing refractive surgery, focusing on preoperative assessment, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative care. Through a systematic review of literature, this paper aims to highlight the importance of nursing interventions in promoting positive surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
