Dr. G. Uma, Associate Professor in Anesthesiology at Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences & Research center. After my DA I worked at Dept of Anesthesiology, JSS Medical College, Mysore. Completed my DNB, did a short fellowship in Pain, observer ship training in Paediatric Anesthesia and fellowship in Palliative care. I am interested in Paediatric Anesthesia, Acute pain management and Regional Anesthesia, I have experience in all types of Anesthesia for different speciality surgeries except for robotic surgery and cardiac surgeries .I am the skill Center Co Ordinator for our college CRTC-comprehensive resuscitation training center of IRCF-Indian Resuscitation council federation. I am an AHA instructor too. As a MEU member I am faculty for BCME at our Institution. I am really interested in conducting simulation based teaching programs to health care personnel and is one of the course directors of these programs conducted by our Institution simulation based training center.in the academic front I am a faculty and have regular paper presentations at the national and zonal Anesthesia conferences to my credit. I have seven publications till now. Worked in various capacities in organising department level CMEs. Active member of ISA and AORA. I am faculty for AHA and nursing students. My hobbies are reading, listening to music<knowing about different cultures and travelling. I have 25 years of PG and UG teaching experience. I strongly believe in training the next gen Anesthesiologists to be competent, self sufficient future ready and so help my PGs to learn well.
