Introduction

I am Dr. Surraj S (a.k.a, Dr.Surraj Susai)., Associate Professor of Anatomy at AIIMS Bibinagar, Hyderabad, India. I have completed both my MBBS and my MD in Anatomy from JIPMER, Pondicherry, India. I have also obtained a diploma in gastrointestinal health from the Fab Academy, USA. I have been a teacher cum medical researcher in the field of anatomy and cell biology for more than 9 years with a dedicated passion for teaching anatomy to medical students not only for their exam preparations but also emphasizing to them the need for practical applications of anatomy in their career thereby motivating them to apply the concepts of textual anatomy to their clinical practice with a sharp inclination towards medical research. My primary areas of research include histology, histotechniques, cell biology, gross and applied anatomy, as well as cadaveric and embalming research. I would like to thank the dedicated team of the Indian Journal of Anatomy for having considered me as one of the editorial board members.
