Dr. Sanjay Kumar Assistant Professor, Trauma & Emergency (Anesthesia) AIIMS, Patna

Dr. Sanjay Kumar is a dedicated medical professional and academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Trauma & Emergency (Anesthesia) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna. With a robust educational foundation, Dr. Kumar earned his MBBS from DMCH Darbhanga and completed his MD in Anesthesia at IGIMS Patna.

Prior to joining the faculty at AIIMS in March 2023, Dr. Kumar honed his clinical expertise as a Senior Resident in the Department of Anesthesia at IGIMS Patna. His clinical acumen covers a broad spectrum of high-stakes medical interventions. His primary areas of interest and specialization include Critical Care Medicine, Advanced Airway Management, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Shock Management, and Trauma Emergency Management. He is also deeply focused on Fluid Therapy and Pain Management strategies in acute care settings.

Dr. Kumar is an active contributor to medical research, having published multiple comparative studies in reputable journals such as Anesthesia, Essays and Researches and the International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research. His recent work investigates the efficacy of dexmedetomidine in nerve blocks and hemodynamic responses in hypertensive patients.

Committed to professional development, Dr. Kumar holds active memberships with the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists (ISA), the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), the Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (IAPA), and the Airway Management Foundation. He combines clinical excellence with a passion for teaching, aiming to advance the standards of emergency and trauma care in India.
