Dr. Pramilaa R. is a highly accomplished and dedicated nursing professional with over 23 years of comprehensive experience spanning clinical practice, education, administration, and research. She holds an impressive academic background, culminating in a Ph.D. in Nursing (2016), an M.Sc. in Nursing (Medical Surgical Nursing) from KMCH College of Nursing (2001), and a B.Sc. in Nursing (1992). Her career trajectory reflects continuous growth and commitment, starting as a Staff Nurse in prestigious institutions like St. John’s Medical College & Hospital and the Madras Medical Mission, where she also gained specialized expertise in Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care.

Dr. Pramilaa's career swiftly transitioned into academia and leadership, where she has demonstrated significant administrative capabilities. Her roles have progressed from Nursing Tutor and Lecturer to holding key positions such as Associate Professor & Head of the Department, Professor cum Vice Principal, and Professor cum Principal at various esteemed nursing colleges across India, including Chirayu College of Nursing, Nootan College of Nursing, and Naincy College of Nursing. Her tenure in these roles highlights a profound ability to lead institutions, manage academic departments, and mentor future nursing professionals. She also has valuable international experience, having served as a Senior Clinical Teacher at the Al Dhahira Nursing Institute in Oman.

A prolific contributor to nursing research and literature, Dr. Pramilaa has authored two booksPocket book on laboratory tests for nurses and Nursing communication and educational technology—and has over 38 published articles in national and international journals, focusing on critical care, cardiac nursing, education, and administration. Her expertise is further recognized through her roles as Editor-in-Chief for the Indian Journal of Surgical Nursing and the Indian Journal of Nursing Administration and Nursing education, alongside memberships in numerous professional organizations like the Trained Nurses Association of India and Sigma Theta Tau International.
