Dr. Jayaprakash is a senior academic librarian with over 30 years of professional experience in Library and Information Science, having served in medical, dental, nursing, engineering, and pharmacy institutions. He is presently working as the Librarian at Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Goa.

He holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Kuvempu University (2014) and has made notable contributions to library automation, digital transformation, and modern academic library services.

Dr. Jayaprakash is an active researcher with more than 70 scholarly publications, including papers in Scopus-indexed journals, and has authored and edited more than five books. His areas of expertise include bibliometrics, scientometrics, digital library management, and electronic resource services.

He is the Secretary of the Goa College Librarians’ Association (GCLA) and serves as a reviewer for reputed journals such as the Journal of the Indian Library Association and the IP Indian Journal of Library Science and Information Technology. He has also been a resource person at several national-level seminars and workshops.
