Introduction


I am Dr. Iffat Jamal, a highly dedicated and accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, with a strong specialization in Hematology. My professional journey is built upon a solid academic foundation, including an MD in Pathology and extensive Senior Residency experience at AIIMS-Patna. My overarching career objective is to firmly establish myself as an exemplary pathologist, utilizing my comprehensive diagnostic skills to the fullest extent to ensure precision and excellence in patient care. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of laboratory practice and constantly seeking opportunities for professional growth within the medical fraternity.

My core expertise spans the full breadth of diagnostic pathology, encompassing Cytopathology, Histopathology, Haematology, and Clinical pathology. In addition to diagnostics, I am actively involved in academic pursuits, including the teaching and mentorship of undergraduate MBBS, nursing, and Bsc MLT students. I also possess practical skills in the standardization of special stains across various disciplines. A key pillar of my profile is my strong contribution to research, reflected by an impressive record of 60 publications in national and international indexed journals, multiple poster and oral presentations, and authorship of the book Residency made easy - Pathology. I continuously engage in advanced training through workshops on techniques like FISH Urovysion and Flowcytometry.

Beyond my technical competencies, I consider myself a warm, engaging, and effective communicator, dedicated to building positive relationships with both colleagues and patients. I thrive in collaborative settings, possessing the analytical approach, clarity of thought, and time management skills necessary to work effectively under pressure and inspire teamwork. My commitment to the field extends to my role as a reviewer for various reputed journals and as a life member of leading scientific bodies, including the Indian Association of Pathologists & Microbiologists and the Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. I am proficient in leveraging IT tools for evidence-based medicine, ensuring my practice remains current and informed.
