Introduction


Dr. Sudhir G.K. is working as a Professor & Head of Physiology at BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, Bengaluru under Adichunchanagiri University.

He has served in AIMS, BG Nagara, KMCT Calicut, PESUIMSR Bangalore under various capacities.

He completed his MBBS & MD from Bangalore Medical College in the year 1999 & 2005.

He has an Undergraduate teaching experience of more than 20 years & has guided UGs for ICMR-STS, PG & Ph.D. students for their thesis works.

He is also trained in NMC certified MET, CISP & also has completed Advanced Course in Medical Education under St. John’s Medical College.

He is a resource person for FDPs & has a rich experience in curriculum development implementation by being part of the Medical Education Unit, Curriculum committee of institutions. He has contributed immensely for the academic growth of the institution through organizing various unique CME & Workshops related to teaching technologies.

He has also contributed significantly towards quality initiatives of institutions through his role as IQAC & ISO 9001-2005 coordinators & BoS Chairperson of institution & member in other Universities.

In addition, he also has a good research experience with more than 15 publications in various National & International journals of good repute & has many oral & poster presentations to his credit in the National level conferences.

His areas of interest spans between stress & respiratory physiology, psychoneuroimmunology & medical education.

He is currently working on developing a unique mentoring system for medical students – “The Be-spoke mentoring” & also has been instrumental in developing & testing a novel method of clinical physiology teaching & skill assessment adopting VR tools in association with PESIT which was presented in a state level workshop conducted in October 2025 at PESUIMSR.
