Introduction

I am Dr. Nisha Yadav, an Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy at the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, India. I hold an MBBS, MD (Anatomy), and DNB (Anatomy), and I have over a decade of experience in medical education, academic research, and postgraduate training.

My academic interests include clinical anatomy, gross anatomy, histology, embryology, anatomical variations, morphometry, fetal anatomy, musculoskeletal imaging, cytogenetics, and medical education research. I have a strong interest in translating anatomical research into clinically relevant knowledge and in enhancing anatomy education through innovative and student-centered teaching methodologies.

I have authored more than 25 peer-reviewed research articles published in reputed national and international journals, including
Cureus, Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, National Journal of Clinical Anatomy, and other indexed journals. My research primarily focuses on anatomical morphometry, cadaveric studies, ultrasonographic anatomy, forensic anatomy, fetal anatomy, and anatomy education. I also actively supervise postgraduate dissertations in various areas of anatomy and clinical research.

In addition to my research work, I am deeply involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum implementation, cadaveric dissection, practical demonstrations, academic mentoring, and faculty development activities. I have also contributed to institutional administration through leadership roles in research laboratories, student welfare initiatives, academic committees, and faculty development programmes.

I am a life member of professional anatomical societies and regularly participate in national and international conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education programmes. My experience as a researcher, educator, and academic mentor has provided me with a strong foundation in scientific writing, research methodology, publication ethics, and critical appraisal of biomedical literature. With my strong publication record, extensive teaching experience, and commitment to maintaining high scientific standards, I am keen to contribute to the editorial process by supporting rigorous peer review, promoting ethical publishing practices, and facilitating the dissemination of high-quality medical research.
