Introduction


Dr. Hemavathi B N currently serves as an Associate Professor at Tumkur  University, she is been contributing since 2010. Her academic background  includes a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Bangalore  University, awarded in 2018. Over the years, she has developed expertise  in information literacy, information-seeking behavior, and the application  of ICTs in libraries and information centers. Her work has been recognized  with honors such as the A G Motiwale Award from the Indian Library  Association and received Best Paper Award for the paper presented in 2  day International online Library conference organized by Dr. Zakir Hussain  Central Library, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, 2020 and received BEST  PAPER PRESENTER AWARD from Library Professionals Association in  2022. In addition to my research, I have published 12 journal articles, 5 book  chapters, and 30 papers in conference proceedings on topics of  information literacy, digital literacy, open-access resources, and on role of  artificial intelligence in academic research support. She has 07 years of  experience as a librarian and 14 years of experience in teaching. With over  20 years of experience in both academic and professional library settings,  She designed and developed a portal called Infotree OAISIS: It acts as an  access point for all kinds of open-access information resources such as  open-access journals, books, and open educational resources, theses  repositories including the free intelligence tools for online plagiarism  checking, citation, and reference management tools, alerting tools, journal  selection tools, knowledge mapping tools and tools for identifying the  predatory journals.  Designed and created metadata structure for Geographical Indications  products of India and a database created for the same and contributed  to the digital library of Tumkur University. Likewise, she is passionate  about fostering an environment where students and researchers can fully  harness the power of information in their academic pursuits.
