Ketamine, traditionally known as an anesthetic agent, has garnered attention for its rapid acting antidepressant properties, particularly in patients with treatment resistant depression (TRD). The compound’s unique pharmacological profile primarily as an NMDA receptor antagonist has enabled its repositioning in psychiatric settings, where conventional antidepressants often fall short. This review delves into the evolving role of ketamine in psychiatry, examining its mechanisms of action, therapeutic applications, clinical efficacy, safety concerns, and emerging trends in the field. While ketamine therapy offers promise, its use raises ethical, regulatory, and long-term safety considerations that require continued research and careful implementation.
 

Excoriation or skin picking disorder or Dermatillomania is a Mental disorder associated with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It occurs at the age of 13 onwards till any age with two types Automatic and focused. It caused by various reasons like Genetics, Anatomical alteration, stress, anxiety, tension and introspection. There are many signs and symptoms in that few are Grasping, Excavating, Pulling and Scratching. We can diagnose this with Physical   Examination, Health History, Current Situation and Diagnostic evaluation. Criteria can be used to diagnose Dermatillomania are Ongoing or recurrent skin picking, Attempts to stop or reduce the behavior, Feelings of shame, embarrassment, or other negative emotions related to skin picking that interfere with work and social interactions, Non-medical conditions or drug side effects as the reason for skin picking, Absence of other mental health conditions. There is a possibility to treat this condition with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Habit reversal therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Anti depressants, Anti Psychotics and Nutraceuticals. Physician can help to pinpoint the causes of skin-picking behavior and modify behavior in ways that will enhance quality of life. If they get help, most people are able to resist the need to pick at their skin
 

The study aimed to assess the mobile phone dependence level among students of selected ITI colleges of Sukma. The conceptual framework was adopted for the study based on ROY’s adaptation model. Instruments used for the data collection were socio demographic Performa, Dependence on mobile phone scale among selected students of selected ITI college of Sukma. Fifty students were selected by simple random sampling technique. Descriptive statistic (frequency, percentage), and inferential statistics (chi square, and correlation) were used to analyses the data and to test hypothesis.  All the items in the questionnaire were standardized. The reliability was assessed by using Karl Pearson’s Correlation coefficient. The obtained reliability was 0.93 which indicates that the tool which is taken by the researcher is reliable, valid, and predictable of the desired objective. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study are suggestive of mobile phone dependence among students of selected ITI college of Sukma. Among 50 samples in those 8 members [16%] are not having any mobile dependency whereas 14 members [28%] are having mild dependence level on mobile phone, 10 members [20%] are having moderate level of mobile dependence at last 18 members [36%] are having severe dependence level on mobile. The data is indicative that Mobile phone dependence is an important health problem in the students. The sleep quality deteriorates with increasing dependence level. New studies are required to assess the real problem and thereby take appropriate steps to tackle the growing problem. It was concluded that referring the students with suspected dependence to advanced healthcare facilities, performing occasional scans for early diagnosis and informing the students about controlled mobile phone use are required for the purposes of definitive diagnosis and treatment. 

Enuresis is one of the major problems in children in developing countries like India. In India, an estimated 14% of children in 6-12 age groups have enuresis. Parents and family members are frequently stressed by a child’s bed wetting, soiled linens, and clothing causing additional laundry. If bed-wetting continues to exist even after the child is mature enough to remain dry in bed that turns into a problem. In such a situation parents must understand the causes behind the bed wetting and take appropriate measures to correct same. In every family, mothers are taking care of the child so it is necessary to study the knowledge and attitude of the mothers regarding the enuresis. This study was undertaken to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding enuresis among the mothers of school-age children residing in selected rural area. Objectives 1. To assess the knowledge of mothers regarding enuresis 2. To assess the attitude of mothers regarding enuresis 3. To find out the correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding enuresis among the mothers of school-age children. 4. To find out the association between the knowledge and attitude of mothers with their selected demographic variables 5. To prepare the information guide sheet and distribute it to the subjects. Research approach and design  A descriptive survey approach with a nonexperimental design was used for 50 mothers of school-age children drawn through a purposive sampling technique  in a selected village of Kanhan PHC. The conceptual framework for the study was developed from Rosenstoch and Becker’s health belief model. The hypothesis formulated that there will be a significant association between mothers’ knowledge and attitude with selected demographical variables. The content validity and reliability of the tools were established the pilot study was conducted using a structured interview technique. Knowledge and attitude of mothers are observed by administrating a structured knowledge questionnaire and a five-point Likert scale.  Results: The collected data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study findings revealed that the majority of mothers (54%) had poor knowledge and 44% had an average level of knowledge regarding enuresis. In attitude score majority of the mothers (86%) had moderately favourable and 12% had favourable attitudes regarding enuresis. Association between knowledge and attitude scores of mothers with selected demographic variables are found in other ages x2(1) =7.621, p<0.05) and age of the child (x2(1) =5.062; p<0.05) respectively. It was also found that there is a positive correlation between the knowledge and attitude of mothers regarding enuresis. The ‘r’ value computed was 0.380 which indicates that there is a positive correlation between knowledge of mothers and their attitude.  Recommendations: Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations have been made for further study: • A study can be conducted on a larger sample in different settings.• A comparative study can be conducted between urban and rural mothers.• A study to assess the effectiveness of a structured teaching program regarding enuresis can be conducted. Conclusion: Based on the above findings of the study, recommendations were drawn for nursing service, administration, education, and research. The study concludes that the knowledge and attitude of mothers regarding enuresis among school-age children was average and moderately favourable.

Modern life is becoming more and more reliant on mobile phones, which are a huge advancement over earlier telecommunications technology. Anxiety, depression, and loneliness are just a few of the mental health conditions that have been connected to excessive mobile phone use. Aims: The objectives are to assess the level of knowledge on prevention of ill effects of watching mobile phone among children in selected rural and urban schools of Gonda district, to compare the level of knowledge on prevention of ill effects of watching mobile phone among children in selected rural and urban schools of Gonda district. Methods: Comparative descriptive survey design was chosen in this study. Sample sizewas 80 students. Results: The majority of 45% were have poor knowledge, 42.5% average knowledge, and, 12.5% good knowledge regarding the ill effect of watching phone among rural children population. In urban school, 42.5% were have good, 30% were have average, and 27.5% were have poor knowledge. Conclusion: Thus, it was concluded that, nurses should play major role in creating awareness about ill effects of watching mobile phones among children.
