To explore the utilization of Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (APRP) as a complementary treatment for diverse conditions in plastic surgery. APRP can be used as an adjunct treatment to enhance outcomes in different plastic surgery cases. Given its abundance in diverse growth factors, APRP holds promise as a supplemental therapy to improve outcomes across various plastic surgery procedures.

Introduction: To improve the psychomotor skills and dexterity of a budding surgeon endotrainer exercises are essential. Several endo trainer of varying shape and functionality are available in the market, but are very costly, in a quest to find a cost effective alternative the visual system can be forgone by making the roof and sides transparent. Materials and Methods: This article entails the components involved in developing the indigenous transparent endotrainer using acrylic material in Dept of General surgery, Sapthagiri Medical College, Bangalore in 2024. Results: Conventional endotrainer are non transparent, which necessitates the need for a visual system, this endotrainer does not require a Monitor and web cam by making the roof transparent, ensuring hand eye coordination is maintained. Offering a 3 Dimensional vision without the requirement of an energy source. Conclusion: The present endotrainer is transparent on two sides and without a visual system, does not require an energy source, easily portable and cost effective especially for young budding surgeons.

Background: Non-obstructive intussusception in adults is rare and is seen in less than 1 per 1300 abdominal surgeries. 95% of intussusception in adults usually presents as obstruction, commonly due to a pathological cause for the lead point. Clinical Description: A 45-year-old young gentleman with non-radiating chronic intermittent abdominal pain for four to Àve years of duration without any signiÀcant weight loss. Clinical examination was non-speciÀc with stable vitals. Management: Ultrasonography of the abdomen and pelvis was done and it was reported to have ileocecal intussusception of approximately 10 cm. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed an ileal lipoma as a lead point for ileocecal intussusception. The laparoscopic reduction was attempted and was ultimately manually reduced with resection of the lipoma, and the bowel was resected and anastomosed. Conclusion: Though the diagnosis of adult intussusception is challenging at times, a surgeon should anticipate the diagnosis in bizarre surgical circumstances and manage patients with rare complications swiftly and precisely to prevent permanent future disabilities.

Thyroid angiosarcoma is a very rare malignancy that is mostly seemn in elderly of alpine regions, related to high prevalence of iodine deÀcient goiter. Its is a very aggressive tumour that can rapidly spread to the cervical lymph nodes, lungs, brain or can metastasize to the duodenum, small bowel and large bowel. Metastatic disease is associated with poor prognosis and limits the mean survival time to a few months after diagnosis and surgical treatment.

Thermal burn injuries impose signiÀcant physical and psychological distress, particularly in under developed regions. Facilitating early wound healing is paramount to mitigate ensuing complications. Phenytoin, easily accessible, has emerged as a potential agent for expediting wound recovery. This study endeavours to assess the therapeutic efÀcacy of topical phenytoin in second and third-degree burn injuries. The research involved a 70-year-old female with thermal burns affecting both gluteal regions. Intravenous phenytoin solution was topically applied every two days. Data collection encompassed demographic details, tissue culture Àndings, wound discharge, pain intensity, granulation tissue formation, and wound contraction. Self-inÁicted burns predominated the cases examined. Despite initial colonization with pathogenic bacteria, phenytoin treatmentdid notimpedewoundhealing.Following2-4sessions,asigniÀcant reduction in wound discharge and pain relief was observed. Digital planimetry demonstrated progressive wound contraction across all cases. In conclusion, topical phenytoin application demonstrated efÀcacy in promoting wound contraction, re epithelialization, and alleviating pain, thereby expediting wound healing. Furthermore, some cases exhibited a bacteriostatic effect. Nevertheless, further rigorous trials are imperative to validate these Àndings.
