Fibromas are benign growths of fibrous, connective tissue. Gingiva is a common site of oral fibromas. Owing to similar and overlapping presentation of various oral lesions, arriving at a specific diagnosis becomes difficult. Lesions like pyogenic granuloma, irritational fibroma, Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma (POF) and Angio-granuloma are more or less indistinguishable. POF is a relatively rare gingival lesion with multiple histopathologic presentations. The pathogenesis of POF is not amply clear though it is considered reactive in nature. Etiological stimulus may be irritation from dental calculus, plaque, orthodontic appliances or faulty restorations. A clinical report of a 67 year old male with a large peripheral ossifying fibroma in the anterior maxilla showing profuse growth resulting in facial asymmetry and causing masticatory discomfort, is presented. Surgical excision of the lesion was done and subsequent histopathologic confirmation of excised sample confirmed the clinical diagnosis.

LASERS have become an integral part of dentistry. LASER is an acronym for ‘Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation’. Invention of LASER dates back to as early as 1917, when Albert Einstein put forward the theory of photoelectric amplification could emit a single frequency. The primary action of lasers on dental tissue is dependent on how well the chromophore (water, apatite minerals, pigmented substances, etc.) is absorbed by the laser tissue. Laser has various applications in endodontics, operative dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, etc.

The bonding agent is the one that connects the tooth and the restorative material micromechanically. The better the bond between these to substrates the greater will be the success of the restoration. The bond should have better wetting properties to flow in the Nano porosities of the enamel and dentin surface and form longer and more resin tags for higher bond strengths. This article highlights the composition of bonding agent and its properties.

Teeth with hypercementosis is a common. The severity may vary depending upon the age, the It is characterized by excessive cementum deposition at the tooth apex, which is typically idiopathic in origin. It is asymptomatic. Patients with hypercementosis are not in need of any therapy for healthy teeth. Yet, when therapeutic requirements including the necessity for endodontic operations and It can make extraction more difficult and time consuming.

Teleradiology is an innovative practice of interpreting radiology images from a distant site and has boomed into a global trend in radiology. It was earlier known as off-site reading where X-ray images were diagnosed by radiologists who were physically based at a distant site. The technique involves standard equipment to capture, view and share images across radiology platforms so that physicians can handle it with ease. However, there are various regulations that are laid down by different countries and radiology associations. The significance of teleradiology in maxillofacial dentistry and oral care is undoubtedly massive and it needs further streamlining to increase global adaption. The present paper discusses the trends in teleradiology and the future scope especially for the maxillofacial radiologists.

One of dentistry's most basic and essential processes is administering a local anesthetic. Before beginning any procedure on patients, many clinical specialties in dentistry require the administration of a local anesthetic. Students may find it challenging to master optimal local anesthetic techniques as they demand refined technical skills to enable painless administration. Therefore, before administering their first injection, students must complete their educational requirements regarding knowledge and practice. Non-human objects, cadavers, simulation models, and student-to-student administration are some methods utilized for learning local anesthesia in undergraduate dental education institutions worldwide. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate and compare the learning outcome of students who under took the contemporary preclinical teaching program (lectures and clinical), shadowing a higherlevel student to administer the local anesthesia to the patient, to those who provide a modern teaching and learning program (lectures and preclinical simulation for a semester then lecture and clinical practice student to student in the 2nd semester), before practicing on the patient the following year. This study is retrospective longitudinal data gathered from the local anesthesia assessment sheets for 3rd, 4th and 5th undergraduate dental students and compared their marks before and after implementing the local anesthesia modern teaching method from 2018 to 2021. This study aims to determine whether a modern approach teaching program in local anesthesia delivery affects undergraduate dental students' perceived and actual learning outcomes.
