Pilonidal sinus can be correlated with Shalyajanya Nadivrana by Acharya Sushruta according to its pathophysiology and etiology. It is commonly seen in young age people in 2nd and 3rd decades and more prevalent in heavy motorvehicle drivers. Excision of Pilonidal sinus tract is the best choice of treatment for pilonidal sinus till date but the condition often reoccurs due to the failure in identifying and draining all the sinuses or residual hair in the cavity or low quality post-operative care This study includes, A case of 22 years old male patient having complaint of Pain and swelling in the lower back region (Natal cleft) along with on and off pus discharge from that swelling for the past two years, which was treated with Chedana (excision) of Nadi-vrana (Sinus tract) followed by proper post-operative care i.e. Vranasodhana with Panchvalkal Kwath and Vrana Ropana with Local application of Yastimadhu Malhara. The wound was completely healed within 60 days and follow up was taken for next 4 months and there was no recurrence was found during 4 months follow-up periods.

The Pandemic of Covid-19 is wreaking havoc to healthcare systems all over the world. Although, no treatment has been approved till now. The aim of the present study is to summarize the existing evidence of RCT (random control trial) examining the effect of yoga on immune system. This will connect the traditional knowledge and clinical evidence together for future translation research on covid-19 prophylaxis. A systematic review was conducted as per the PRISMA guidelines. The search was conducted using Pub Med, Science direct and EMASE database for 2000 years. Search resulted 310 articles and finally 25 articles are included for systematic review.

Background: A combination of yoga breathing techniques including high frequency yoga breathing practiced over 12 weeks resulted in improved performance in trail making test (TMT). However it is not studied whether a brief session of yoga breathing techniques will cause similar results in TMT performance.

Aims: This study intended to assess the effect of a brief session of high frequency yoga breathing or breath awareness separately on the TMT performance.

Settings and Design: Self as control study.

Methods and Material: Fifty three participants (aged between 18 and 46 years; group average 26.0 (SD = 7.3) years; all males were recruited in north India. They were randomly assigned to three sessions on three separate days at the same time of the day. These were HFYB or BAW or Quiet sitting (QS). Both parts, A and B of the TMT, with the STAI-S were determined before and after each session.

Statistical Analysis used: Analyses were repeated measures ANOVA, with post-hoc multiple comparisons carried out using SPSS Version 18. There were 2 within-subject factors: (i) Sessions (HFYB, BAW and QS) and (ii) States (before and after).

Results: Following the HFYB session TMT-A time reduced (P = 0.001). After BAW TMT-B time reduced (P = 0.01), and the STAI-S scores also decreased (P = 0.01). Both voluntarily regulated yoga breathing techniques, i.e., HFYB and BAW improved the performance in the TMT. HFYB improved psychomotor speed and ability to keep attention sustained while visually scanning the worksheet.

Conclusions: BAW improved flexibility in thinking, working memory and shifting strategies, while reducing state anxiety.

Introduction: Yoga Prana Vidya (YPV) system based on ancient yogic practices, is an integrated approach known from experience to heal diverse human diseases and sicknesses holistically. This study presents the outcomes of improvements in the health and wellness of 30 participants through Yoga Prana Vidya (YPV) healing techniques in a 14-day healing camp conducted at YPV Ashram.

Materials and Methods: This is a pre and post-test interventional study of a healing camp using both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection and analysis. Thirty participants joined the camp voluntarily with informed consent. A team of 7 YPV healers conducted healing sessions. The patients did self-practice of some YPV techniques. Data includes patient feedback reports.

Results: Data Analysis of weight, BMI, waist, V fat, Systolic BP, O2 Saturation level, Stress level, lung capacity showed statistically significant improvements. HRV results showed a relaxed state for the majority of participants. Brainwave analysis showed increased alpha activity and 18.8% improvement in the balance of left and right brains. Mean Systolic BP showed statistically significant reduction and mean Diastolic BP also reduced but statistically found not significant. Individual patients experienced note worthy improvements in illness conditions such as different types of pain, psychological & emotional issues, mobility, sleep disorders, diabetes, thyroid, respiratory problems, weakness, tiredness, giddiness, acidity, skin, addiction, relationships issues, allergy, etc. found substantial relief.

Conclusions: The outcomes of this healing camp have revealed that Yoga Prana Vidya (YPV) protocols and practices have boosted immunity and improved wellness conditions of participants. Further research with appropriate methodology and samples are recommended. Recommendations include interprofessional specialists to team up with YPV healers for conducting health camps for the benefit of people.

Aloe vera is well known for the cost effect positive actions it has on the skin, with a very minimal risk profile. The anti-inflammatory, wound healing & anti-ageing effects of aloe vera on the skin have been extensively studied & discussed. Similar effects may be demonstrated & observed on burn wounds. We tested the aloe vera gel on a patient with scald burns & observed the progression of the wound. Unsurprisingly, we observed that wound healing was considerably enhanced by the aloe vera gel application
