The study was done to determine the effectiveness of child to child approach vs researcher to child approach on knowledge regarding prevention of accidents. An experimental research design was used in this study. 50 school childrens were selected by simple random method based on inclusion criteria. Demographic data was collected by structured interview method. Structured teaching method about prevention of accident given on the children. The data collected by the investigator was analyzed using frequency, percentage, SD, Paired’t’ test, Unpaired’t’ test & chi square test.

This study entitled “Comparative study to assess the knowledge and practice regarding junk food and its harmful effects on lifestyle among adolescents in urban and rural schools at Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh” submitted in the year 2022.

Aims: The objectives are to assess the level of knowledge and practice on junk food and its harmful effects on lifestyle among adolescents in urban and rural schools at Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh, to compare the knowledge and practice regarding junk foods and its harmful effects on lifestyle between adolescents of urban and rural school, to associate finding with selected demographic variables.

Design and setting: Comparative descriptive approach was adopted. Total 530 youngsters of selected schools from urban and rural area were participated by obtaining their informed consent.

Methods and Material: Samples were chosen through convenient sampling technique. Instrument administered for data collection was pre-validated self-administered questionnaire.

Statistical Analysis used: Descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted.

Results: Majority (62%) had good knowledge, 17% had excellent knowledge, 16% had moderate knowledge, and only 5% had poor knowledge in urban adolescents whereas adolescents from rural school 49% had moderate knowledge, 36% had well and 9% had poor knowledge. Also, there is a significant difference between in knowledge and practice scores of adolescents from urban and rural schools.

Conclusion: Findings of the study showed that adolescents have lack of knowledge and practice and also consumes a greater amount of junk food.

Background: Personality is an individual's unique and relatively stable patterns of behaviour, thoughts and emotions. Student's personality is an essential component in order to plan andteach lessons according to student's individual needs.

Aims: To assess the level of personality, to associate the level of personality with demographic variables.

Materials and Methods: Non experimental descriptive study design was used. 95 students were chosen for the the study through simple random sampling technique. The big five model is used to measure the normal personality of students.

Results: During the interpretation, the parents who are working as a business people, 6% of their children are conscientiousness, the parents who are working as a daily wage people, 33% of their children are agreeableness, the parents who are working as a government employee, 3% of their children are conscientiousness, the parents who are working as a private employee, 16% of their childrens are agree ableness.

Conclusions: Students need to improve the personality to reach the level of conscientiousness. As it is the personality of the students will impact their professional development.

Hypertension a silent killer as it is symptomless and remains undiagnosed, and not controlled if diagnosed. Hypertension is a major non-communicable disease. Lack of knowledge about hypertension and its control are barriers for effective hypertensive care.

Aims: The study aims to assess the knowledge regarding control of hypertension among the adult hypertensive patient.

Settings and Design: Descriptive study carried out among the patients in CTVS ward, selected hospital.

Methods and Material: Non-probability purposive sampling technique, Participant’s selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria, informed consent was taken before administering knowledge questionnaires, data was collected after ethical clearance from the institution.

Statistical Analysis used: Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics.

Result: Knowledge score of participants: Out of 73 participants, (4.1%) had good knowledge regarding hypertension. Majority of participants (38.36%) know about hypertension and its meaning, (69.86%) normal value of hypertension, (31.51%) frequency of BP measurement in hypertensive patients, (39.73%) position of BP cuff to get most accurate reading. (56.16%) know the correct way of taking drugs, DASH diet (27.4%), (72.6%) have knowledge about sodium restriction. (41.1%) of the participants know about physical activities help to control BP.

The objectives of the study are: 1. To assess the effectiveness of birthing ball exercise on experimental and control group in labour pain in 1st stage among primigravida mothers. 2. To compare the effectiveness of birthing ball exercise in experimental group and control group in 1st stage of labour pain among primigravida mothers. Quantitative approach was used with quasi experimental research design. The researcher assessed the pain level with pain intensity scale before intervention for both the control and experimental group of primigravida mothers. The study was conducted at love N care hospital Surat. The samples of 60 primigravida mothers were selected through randomized sampling technique. Pain intensity scale was used to assess the level of labour pain during the 1st stage of labour among the primigravida mothers before and after use of birthing ball which was collected by the researcher through interview. Reliability of the tool was ascertained by Karl Pearson's coefficient correlation (r) Method. The mean pain level in the control group was after therapy (M-7.53. SD=0.90) compared to before therapy (M=7.80. SD=0.81) whereas the mean pain level was low (M=6.33, SD=0.92) after therapy in the experimental group when compared with before therapy (M=7.40, SD=0.50. It showed the effectiveness of birthing ball upon labour pain.
