Prasant Kumar Sahoo belonging to the Odisha Education Service (OES) cadre, currently works as an Assistant Professor of Anthropology, Fakir
Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore, Odisha. He finished his MA from Utkal University and M. Phil from University of Delhi in Anthropology and awaits his PhD viva. His professional achievements include the State topper (17th rank) at the 12th standard; UGC-NET/JRF in Anthropology in 2012; selection in Intelligence Bureau (MHA) as Asst. Central Intelligence Officer in 2014; ranked 20th in the Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2016 and joined Odisha Police Service as a Dy. Supdt of Police. But his passion for teaching and research brought him to academics. With more than 8 years of teaching experience, he has a multiple of research interests spread over tribal development, museum studies, tourism studies, anthropology of religion and disaster management. To name few of his academic achievements, he has produced more than 20 research articles in many national and international journals including UGC recognized journals and has presented more than 12 research papers in many national and international seminars and conferences. A book titled “Anthropology of Religion, Economy and Politics” (2022) was published by Odisha Text Bureau, Bhubaneswar. He has been the national editorial board member of Indian Journal of Research in Anthropology, reviewer in national journals and contributes issue-based articles to the national daily “The Pioneer”.

Sumitra Sethi, belonging to the OES cadre, currently works as an Assistant Professor and Head in the Department of Anthropology at Model Degree College, Boudh, Odisha where she has been teaching the UG students for the last 8 years. Before that, she was a State Selection Board Lecturer in Anthropology for one year and Adhoc Junior Lecturer for two years in various non-Govt. aided colleges. She holds many distinguished academic careers, including the Gold Medalist in Post-Graduation at Utkal University, UGCNET and ICSSR-JRF. Ms. Sethi's scholarly impact is evident through her research publications in the widely recognized journal such as 'Productivity' fields of(the National Productivity Council) and 'Man in Society'. Her notable contributions are in the 'Ecotourism in Odisha', gender studies, 'Domestic Violence Act, 2013' and Solid waste management and so on. Besides, she had presented several papers in seminars and workshops in multitude of areas.
