RFP follows the American Medical Association (AMA) style* (pp39–79), which was also developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors in Vancouver in 1978.
Reference Management systems
EndNote® software users should choose the JAMA reference style when preparing reference materials for any Red Flower Publications Journal. Please disable EndNote® before sending your manuscript.
To deactivate EndNote®, first save a copy of the document. Afterwards, use the EndNote® tab in Word, click "Convert Citation and Bibliography" and select "Convert to Plain Text" to remove the EndNote® code, but leave the citation and bibliography.
Please note that the author is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the references.
Text citations:
Cite references sequentially in text, tables, and legends by superscript Arabic numerals with no parentheses, eg, 1 or 3,4 or 10–15. Numbers should be placed after punctuation marks, eg, .3,4 Do not use Microsoft Word’s footnote/endnotes function to build the reference list as this can introduce errors during the typesetting process.
Reference list:
List the items in numerical order (e.g. 1, 2, 3, and 4) in the order of citation in the text, for example 4. Kapur NK, Musunuru K. Clinical effectiveness and safety of statins for managing cardiovascular risk. Vasc Health Risk Manag. 2008; 4(2):341–353. Following are some examples commonly used.
