Abstract
Pediatric trauma remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide. Unlike adult trauma, pediatric trauma presents unique physiological, psychological, and developmental challenges that necessitate specialized nursing interventions. This article provides a comprehensive overview of best practices in pediatric trauma nursing care, emphasizing the critical components from initial assessment and resuscitation to psychological support and family-centered care. Drawing upon established guidelines and evidence-based practices, it outlines a methodical approach to ensure optimal outcomes for injured children. The focus is on the distinct considerations required for pediatric patients, highlighting the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach and continuous professional development for nurses working in this demanding field.
