Introduction

I am Sachin Chandrakumar Narwadiya, a seasoned scientist with a foundational expertise built upon an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and the submission of a Ph.D. thesis. My doctoral work focused critically on the "Role of Medicinal Plants in Microbial and Biochemical Aspects Related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis," providing me with deep specialization in clinical biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology. My early professional experience, including a significant tenure as a Laboratory Technician for the City Tuberculosis Office in Nagpur, involved hands-on diagnostic work such as AFB staining and culture on LJ medium, making me proficient in the Revised National TB Control Programme (DOTS). This strong initial foundation established my ability to manage complex diagnostic and laboratory protocols effectively.

My professional journey spans over two decades, transitioning from core research to administrative leadership and science communication. For over twelve years, I have served as a Scientist at Vigyan Prasar, where I oversee the Audio Visual division. My current responsibilities encompass crucial administrative oversight, coordinating national-level science popularization projects, and organizing workshops to promote scientific literacy across India. Before this, I spent seven dedicated years as a Senior Scientific Assistant at the National Institute of Miners’ Health. In that capacity, I contributed significantly to consultancy and research projects, focusing on public and occupational health. This diverse career path has gifted me a unique ability to bridge rigorous scientific research with impactful public outreach.

Technically, I possess a comprehensive skill set across advanced scientific techniques. This includes specialized biochemical characterization (Enzymology, Hormonal Analysis), biophysical methods (Spectrophotometry, Fluorescence Spectroscopy), and cutting-edge molecular biology and genetic engineering protocols, such as PCR, Southern Blotting, and DNA sequencing. My research contributions are documented in seven publications in respected journals like Biosciences, Biotechnology Research Asia, covering diverse topics from hyperlipidemia to antibacterial investigations. I am committed to leveraging this blend of deep scientific knowledge, research publication experience, and proven administrative acumen to drive future ambitious goals in scientific communication and public engagement.
