I am Ms. Smita Ranjana Kindo, an Associate Professor in the Department of Mental Health Nursing at KD Institute of Nursing Sciences, KD Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. I have more than nine years of academic experience in Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing and hold an M.Sc. in Mental Health Nursing. Throughout my career, I have focused on teaching, mentoring, and guiding nursing students in psychiatric nursing care, therapeutic communication, and the promotion of mental well-being across diverse populations. In both classroom and clinical settings, I help students develop the knowledge, empathy, and professional judgment needed to care for individuals with mental health conditions and their families. My professional interests include psychiatric and mental health nursing, nursing education, school and adolescent mental health, and evidence-based practice. I have presented a research poster and Published an original article in the Journal of Psychiatric Nursing (2024; 13(3): 65–69), which evaluated how well a computer-assisted planned teaching programme improved school teachers' knowledge of and attitude towards mental hygiene. This experience gave me a practical understanding of research and publication from an author's perspective. I would welcome the opportunity to serve as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Psychiatric Nursing, as I believe rigorous and constructive peer review strengthens nursing literature and helps research translate meaningfully into clinical practice and education. Although this would be my first formal reviewing role, I approach it with seriousness and a strong sense of responsibility. I would bring a careful eye for clarity of presentation, ethical considerations, soundness of conclusions, and relevance to nursing practice. I am committed to providing timely, fair, objective, and constructive feedback while strictly maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the peer review process. I look forward to contributing to the journal's mission of advancing knowledge in psychiatric nursing
