I am Dr. Rajeev Kumar Singh, an accomplished academic and legal professional with extensive expertise spanning Constitutional Law, Human Rights, and the imperative of Good Governance. My academic foundation is robust, holding a B.Sc., LL.B., LL.M., and a Ph.D., alongside qualifying the NET examination. With over four years of continuing experience as an Assistant Professor of Law, particularly at the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar (A Central) University, Lucknow, I am deeply committed to imparting specialized knowledge in areas such as Legal Method, IPC, Family Law, and Evidence Law to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. My passion lies in exploring the interface between law and social policy, ensuring legal education remains grounded in contemporary socio-legal realities.
My doctoral research, titled “Right to Information: An Analytical Study with Reference to Good Governance,” forms the bedrock of my scholarly identity. This focus is evidenced by my substantial publication record, which includes the book “Right to Information, Empowerment and Good Governance,” a book chapter, and fourteen peer-reviewed research papers published in esteemed national and international journals. My research contributions consistently explore themes critical to democracy and social justice, such as the criminalization of marital rape, the protection of women through International Humanitarian Law, and the enhancement of judicial governance via Public Interest Litigation. This strong research output demonstrates my capability to produce and disseminate impactful legal scholarship.
Beyond teaching and research, I actively contribute to academic administration and public outreach. I have served in key institutional roles, including being a member of the Anti-Ragging Committee and the President of the Department of Human Rights Alumni Association. Furthermore, I have leveraged platforms like All India Radio, Prasar Bharti, to deliver talks on topics ranging from Human Rights Law to Education, Employment, and the concept of tolerance, bridging the gap between academia and the public domain. My commitment extends to organizing and participating in numerous national and international conferences, serving as the Organizing Secretary for a National Seminar on "Freedom of Speech and Expression," which collectively underscores my dedication to the growth of the legal fraternity and the advancement of social awareness.
