IntroductionSELF INTRODUCTION FOR THE
POST OF EDITORIAL MEMBER IN PSYCHIATRIC JOURNAL
Myself Dr.Prof.S.Sathiyapreethi,
a passionate nursing educator, researcher, and administrator with more than 17
years of experience in the field of nursing education and mental health
nursing. I am currently working as the Principal of Babu Ram Chandra Singh
Institute of Nursing and Paramedical. Throughout my professional journey, I
have been committed to academic excellence, student mentoring, research
development, and quality nursing education.
I completed my General
Nursing and Midwifery from Child Jesus School of Nursing, Trichy, Post
Certificate B.Sc. Nursing from Sarvodaya College of Nursing, Bangalore, M.Sc.
Nursing in Mental Health Nursing from Sara Nursing College, and Ph.D. in
Nursing. My area of specialization is Mental Health Nursing and Nursing
Education.
I have worked in different
capacities including Staff Nurse, Clinical Instructor, Lecturer, Professor,
Principal In-charge, and Principal in various reputed institutions. I have
handled multiple academic and administrative responsibilities and have actively
participated in organizing workshops, conferences, seminars, and mental health
awareness programmes.
My research interests mainly
focus on psychiatric nursing, psychoeducation, aromatherapy, music therapy,
mental wellbeing, and anxiety management. I have published several research
articles and books in national and international journals, including publications
in the Journal of Psychiatric Nursing under Red Flower Publication. I am also
serving as a reviewer and editorial board member for various journals.
I strongly believe in
promoting evidence-based nursing practice and encouraging innovative research
in psychiatric nursing. Being associated with academic and research activities
has helped me develop strong reviewing, editing, and leadership skills. I would
be honoured to serve as an Editorial Board Member for the Psychiatric Journal
under Red Flower Publication and contribute towards the advancement of
psychiatric nursing research and scholarly publications.
