Introduction

The author has over 18 years of experience in forensic science, specializing in forensic serology and DNA profiling. From 2006 to 2024, reported more than 1,000 cases of serological examinations in criminal investigations. Since 2011, the author has primarily focused on forensic DNA profiling, handling over 5,000 cases across a wide range of applications, including disputed paternity, child swapping, sexual assault, gang rape, biological identity, kinship, father-daughter incest, and mitochondrial DNA sequencing and successfully worked on cases involving extremely degraded DNA samples. The author played a pivotal role in the establishment of the DNA profiling unit in the Biology Division of the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur, Rajasthan. One of the key contributions was the development and validation of a novel differential DNA extraction method, which has been successfully applied to sexual assault cases with a high success rate. This method has been published in a reputable journal as part of a significant case study. In addition to this, the author is instrumental in the development of a novel DNA testing protocol, reducing both the time and cost of DNA examinations, which aims to enhance forensic science practices and support the justice delivery system.  As a skilled trainer, the author has provided DNA training to the staff of the Biology Division at State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Author’s consistently outstanding performance in forensic science has earned them recognition, including the "Young Scientist Award" in 2017 and the "DGP Commendation Roll" in 2023. Author has felicitated with best research paper presentation in All India Forensic science summit 2025 organized by National Forensic Science university under the ministry of Home affairs, Government of India. With over 70 published research papers in prestigious international journals, the author’s work has significantly advanced forensic science. Author’s Ph.D. dissertation, titled "Study of Genetic Polymorphism in STR Markers of Human Populations of Rajasthan," was the first comprehensive study on the forensically important STR markers in the population of Rajasthan.
