IntroductionI am Dr. Rashmi P, an experienced nursing
academician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical-Surgical
Nursing (Critical Care), JSS College of Nursing, Mysuru, with over 15 years of
academic experience. I hold a Ph.D. in Nursing from JJTU, Rajasthan, an M.Sc.
in Medical-Surgical and Critical Care Nursing, and a B.Sc. in Nursing from
RGUHS, Karnataka. I am also a Certified ENLS Instructor under the RGUHS–Jeeva
Raksha programme.
My professional expertise includes nursing
education, critical care nursing, research methodology, simulation-based
learning, curriculum planning, and evidence-based practice. I have been
actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical
training, student research guidance, dissertation mentoring, academic programme
coordination, and professional development activities.
My research contributions include 18 national
and international publications, one extramural research grant, 18 poster
presentations, four paper presentations, and participation in 24 conferences.
My areas of research interest include emergency care, critical care nursing,
cervical cancer prevention, breast cancer awareness, first aid, nursing
education, and innovative health education strategies. I have also designed and
implemented training programmes aimed at strengthening emergency management
knowledge, communication, and clinical competencies among nursing students and
healthcare professionals.
I have presented research findings at various
national and international academic forums and received a Best Paper Award for
research presentation. I have actively contributed to the organization and
coordination of academic workshops, simulation-based training programmes,
conferences, and continuing professional development activities.
My key strengths include academic leadership,
research mentorship, innovative teaching, simulation-based education, programme
coordination, effective communication, and evidence-based nursing practice. I
am committed to advancing the quality of nursing education, strengthening
professional and clinical competencies, promoting meaningful nursing research,
and contributing to quality healthcare through education, research, innovation,
and continuous professional development.
