Introduction

My name is Rashmi. I completed my undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) from DUVSU, Mathura University in 2008, followed by a Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) in 2010. After completing my post-graduation, I joined the Animal Husbandry Department, Uttar Pradesh, as a Veterinary Officer, serving from 2010 to 2014.

In 2014, I was selected as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Extension, where I focused on bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical application in the field of animal husbandry. Later, I was selected to Associate Professor in the Department of Dairy Business Management, which aligns closely with my specialization and research interests. My primary focus lies in dairy value-added research and veterinary extension, particularly in analyzing the situation of dairy farmers, understanding the constraints they face in rearing animals, and promoting effective dairy management practices.

In addition to my academic and extension work, I have conducted research on Gaushalas to assess their economic feasibility and to study the adoption patterns of scientific management practices. This work has helped identify opportunities for improving productivity, enhancing farmers’ income, and promoting sustainable dairy practices.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to combining research, teaching, and practical extension work to support farmers, improve dairy management systems, and promote the adoption of innovative and scientific practices in the field of animal husbandry. I am passionate about empowering farmers with knowledge, enhancing the dairy sector’s efficiency, and contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the livestock industry.Bottom of Form
