Introduction

I am a dedicated physiotherapist with over 12 years of diverse experience in clinical practice, academia, and research, with a specialization in neurology. In my current role as an Associate Professor at the College of Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences in Guwahati, I have the opportunity to teach and mentor both Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) students. I deliver lectures on various topics, conduct practical sessions, and guide students during their clinical placements in key specialties, including neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and cardiothoracic surgery. A significant part of my work involves assisting MPT students with selecting research topics and completing their dissertations, which has been both rewarding and impactful for their academic development. Beyond academia, I have also worked as a Clinical Lead and Auditor at Healthcare at Home, India. During this time, I was responsible for assessing and treating a wide range of clinical conditions, from musculoskeletal issues to neurological disorders. I take pride in utilizing evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive and effective treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient. My leadership experience extends to supervising junior physiotherapists and working alongside multidisciplinary teams, where I ensure a collaborative approach to patient care. I am well-versed in various advanced physiotherapeutic techniques, such as Maitland mobilizations, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Neurological Music Therapy, and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET). These techniques, particularly in stroke rehabilitation, have allowed me to address complex cases and improve patient outcomes significantly. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous professional development. I have participated in multiple workshops, presented research, and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. As a registered Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) physiotherapist, I am always eager to seek new opportunities that challenge me and allow me to contribute to advancements in the field of physiotherapy. My passion for teaching and patient care continues to drive my pursuit of excellence in both clinical and academic settings.
