Introduction


I am Dr. Omprakash Shukla, currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Government Medical College, Baroda, Gujarat.
With 35 years of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to medical education and pediatric care. I have been a UG examiner since 2000 and a PG examiner since 2004, serving across multiple states including Gujarat, Delhi, and Rajasthan, as well as various Public Service Commissions.
On the academic front, I have published over 55 research papers and guided more than 45 postgraduate students through their theses. My training early in my career was marked by academic excellence, earning Gold Medals in Pathology, PSM, and my MD in Pediatrics. I also serve as a National Faculty and Trainer for key maternal and child health initiatives like NRP, FBNC, and IMNCI. Professionally,
