Introduction

I am Nilima S. Vasava, an Assistant Professor at the Parul Institute of Nursing, Parul University, bringing a dynamic blend of 1 year of clinical experience and 2 years of dedicated teaching expertise to the field of nursing education. Academically grounded with an M.Sc. in Medical Surgical Nursing from Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing, I specialize in critical care, medical surgical nursing, anatomy and physiology, and nursing foundation for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. My commitment extends beyond the classroom, evidenced by my completion of a certificate course in teacher training and continuous professional development through numerous national and international conferences. This foundation allows me to employ innovative teaching methodologies, ensuring students are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical, evidence-based skills.

My professional contributions are characterized by a strong commitment to ethical practice, administrative excellence, and scholarly output. I have actively contributed to institutional growth by serving as a coordinator for events, social work, and training and placement activities. This administrative experience complements my core clinical skills, which encompass comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Furthermore, I am an active member of the Critical Care Nursing Society of India (CCNS) and the Nursing Research Society of India (NRSI). My research portfolio includes 03 publications and 02 articles in national/international proceedings, alongside guiding undergraduate research projects.

As a resource person for workshops on respiratory care and basic medical surgical nursing, I am dedicated to sharing my expertise and fostering professional competency within the wider nursing community. My personality—punctual and calm—enables effective teamwork and empathetic patient interaction, which I emphasize as crucial soft skills for future nurses. I pride myself on the ability to meet deadlines and maintain an innovative approach to education. I am eager to leverage my comprehensive skill set—spanning teaching, clinical execution, administration, and research—to contribute significantly to the academic mission of Parul University and the advancement of nursing standards.
