Introduction


Dr. Neha Chauhan is currently working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology, University of Kota, Kota, Rajasthan, India. She has a rich experience of 8 years in teaching of B. Sc. Microbiology, B.Sc. Biotechnology, and M.Sc. Microbiology, M.Sc. biotechnology, and M.  Tech. Biotechnology. She has qualified her Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Microbiology under DST (Department of Science and Technology) INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Fellowship Program in 2018 from, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Her main focus of research study is on the Medical Microbiology specifically bacterial diseases, bacterial immunology and herbal drug development. She has worked on the bacterial immunology of Typhoid during her PhD and also studied the drug development based on medicinal plants. She persuades M. Sc. Microbiology in Research (Gold Medalist) in 2013 from, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh and worked on the drug resistant pattern of typhoid bacteria up to molecular level. She obtained her B. Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology degree in 2011 from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. She has guided several students of M. Sc. Microbiology and B. Sc. Microbiology at research level. She has more than 30 publications including book chapters in scholarly journals, 3 books published and having two Indian Patents and one UK patent and presented her research in several National and International conferences and seminars. She is the Life member of Microbiologists Society, India and is acting as reviewer for many reputed journals. She is actively involved and upgraded with the practical expertise and has knowledge of several instruments and equipment specifically used in the Microbiological Laboratory. She is always curious to learn new research trends, is imaginative, a good team leader, and tends to be high on the measure of social responsibilities, Agreeableness and fairness in her decisions.
