Introduction


Dr. M. Karpakavalli M.Pharm., Ph.D., is a pharmacist, teacher and a medicinal chemist since from past two decades. Now, she is working as a Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Karpagam College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Started her career as an industrial pharmacist in 1997, worked as a clinical pharmacist in 1998 and has 21 years of teaching & academic research experience. She has published one patent in 2024 and has been the author of two books and four book chapters. She has 60 publications in national/international levels with 200 citations, 07 H-index and 06 i10 index metrics, Orchid ID No. 0000-0002-1907-2536; Scopus ID No. 55223997600; Web of Science I.D. No. ACV-0489-2022; Publons I.D. No. : CAF-8142-2022; Google Scholar ID  No. : Te_sDXsAAAAJ&hl; Vidwan I.D. No. : 693720 and ResearchID No. rid146444. She has made three MoU research contracts with well-known college of TBAK, Kilakkarai; with Amrita Vishwa Vidhya Peetham, Tamil Nadu and has wriiten 16 research proposals to various research grant funding bodies and has been granted a seminar grant from DST-SERB for 90000/- & from TNSCST Rs. 20,000/- in 2024. She works as an editorial member and reviewer for scientific journals viz., Indian Journal of Heterocyclic chemistry; Journal of Ethno-pharmacology & Toxicology; Journal of Medical Surgical and Allied Sciences; Innovative Publications (P) Ltd., Member of Advisor Panel of an academic excelling Dfree Novelish Association, Andhra pradesh. Recognized Inspector of PCI, New Delhi and The TN DR MGR Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Recognized Examiner of the TN DR MGR Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and other equivalent Universities for Pharmacy Curriculum; Rewarded with Ph.D guideship from The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in 2019; Best Academician award from AEDS and NABARD Govt. sectors, in 2021; Best Researcher award from INSO in 2022; Seven NPTEL stars viz., NPTEL Believer award in two years 2022 & 2024; NPTEL Star Enthusiastic award in 2023; NPTEL Discipline award in 2023; NPTEL Motivated learner award in 2023; “NPTEL STAR-Enthusiastic Award” in Jul-Dec 2024 and “NPTEL STAR-Evangelist Award” in Jul-Dec 2024. She has been a chief guest (Women forum event), resource person (scientific session), co-chair, oral and e-poster evaluator, a lead lecturer, a moderator in national & international level seminars/workshops and has delivered scientific speeches in STTP/FDP/DBT-STAR/national level conferences. She is a member of pharmacy professional bodies viz., TNSPC, IPA, IPGA, APTI, & AEDS. Since from past 20 years, has worked as a coordinator for many curricular & co-curricular Programmes in organizing Scientific conferences, Seminars /Webinars, NPW Celebration, Alumni meets, Intercollegiate e-quiz competition in State Level, Intercollegiate Sports event & Editor for a college manual & Newsletter. To conclude, her research area of expertise include Synthetic chemistry, Standardization of Herbal Medicines, In Silico Design, Analytical Instrumentation Techniques
