I
have completed my higher education in Anthropology from University of Lucknow
and have been awarded Doctorate of Philosophy in Anthropology from the same
institution. I have a varied teaching experience and specialization in Biological
Anthropology and Socio-Cultural Anthropology. My teaching areas include socio-cultural
anthropology, Indian anthropology, anthropological thought, genetics and research
methodology in the undergraduate course. I am also supervising research work of
undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students. I am also teaching laboratory
courses in material culture, anthropometry, and osteology. Currently my
research interest includes areas like Indian society and culture, consumer
culture, gender studies, health and nutrition. I am also serving as the member
of various academic bodies and editorial board.
